Check channel restrictions (slowmode, age gates, or moderated channels)
Some servers use extra restrictions. For example, slowmode won’t block embeds, but moderation bots can sanitize content and strip embed previews.

Overlong fields
Discord enforces limits (field lengths, number of fields per embed, total embed size). If you exceed limits, Discord may reject the message or omit parts.
- Keep title, description, and each field value within Discord limits.
- Don’t spam too many fields. If you do, consolidate.
Empty or null values
Don’t include empty strings for critical fields if your library doesn’t filter them. Some wrappers serialize nulls and Discord may reject the embed.
Broken URLs in embed images

Use plain URLs plus a manual title line
Instead of relying on embed cards, post:
- A short descriptive line
- The raw URL on a separate line
This keeps context even when Discord can’t render rich cards.
For bots: fall back to text fields
