On Android 12 and later, take a screenshot with Power + Volume Down, then tap Capture more if it appears and adjust the crop guides. The option works on most screens that allow scrolling, not every app or webpage. On Samsung Galaxy phones, enable the screenshot toolbar and use Scroll Capture. If either control is missing or the capture stops early, the page or app may not support that scrolling-capture path.
Try Android’s built-in “Capture more” control
- Open the webpage and confirm it scrolls normally by swiping through it.
- Press Power + Volume Down together to take a screenshot.
- If Capture more appears at the bottom of the screen, tap it.
- Use the crop guidelines to select the content you want, then save the screenshot.
Google documents this feature for Android 12 and up, on most screens that allow scrolling. That qualification matters: an option that does not appear, or a capture that ends before the page does, does not by itself mean the phone is broken. Use Scroll Capture on a Samsung Galaxy
- Open Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder.
- Turn on Show toolbar after capturing.
- Take a screenshot, then tap Scroll Capture in the toolbar.
- To continue farther down, press and hold the Scroll Capture icon. Tap outside the toolbar to finish and save.
Samsung says the amount captured can vary with the content. Large images and embedded players can affect how far the page advances; the support instructions do not identify a single setting that guarantees a full-page capture. See Samsung’s Galaxy Scroll Capture guide (updated April 23, 2026).

Check the actual scrollable area
Scroll the page normally before capturing. Some screens contain a panel or embedded area that scrolls separately from the surrounding page. A long-looking screen is not necessarily one continuous scrollable surface that the screenshot tool can follow.

Compare with another scrollable screen
Try the same capture flow on a simple screen that scrolls. If it works there but not on the webpage, that points toward support or behavior specific to the app or page—not a confirmed diagnosis of the page’s cause. Sony’s Xperia guidance likewise conditions scrolling screenshots on app support: Sony Xperia support.
Distinguish scrolling capture from a basic screenshot failure
If a regular screenshot also fails, the issue is broader than capturing a long page. Android.com lists storage space, broken buttons, privacy settings, and app restrictions as possible causes; some browsers disallow screenshots in incognito mode and some apps block them. See Android.com’s screenshot troubleshooting guidance. If those checks do not resolve ordinary screenshots, use your phone manufacturer’s support route.
