Five farming games paired standout Steam review scores with relatively small reported player peaks: Before The Green Moon, Shinehill, Research Story, Snacko, and Wylde Flowers. “Nobody played” is headline shorthand, not a literal claim: the figures below compare positive-review shares with peak concurrent Steam players, not sales or lifetime audiences.
The numbers come from a Game Rant article relayed by Games in Kurdish, dated approximately September 2026. They are that article’s snapshot, not independently verified live Steam or SteamDB figures. Each game’s appeal is also distinct: spacefaring settlement, an alien spy’s cover story, ecological research, island restoration, or witchcraft.

How to read the ratings and player counts
A positive-review percentage describes the share of submitted Steam reviews rated positively in the cited snapshot; the review count shows how many reviews were included. A concurrent-player peak is the highest number of players reported playing at the same time, not the total number who ever played. Neither measure establishes sales, overall audience size, or why a game had a comparatively small peak.
The comparison below preserves the figures as reported in the 2026 Game Rant article, relayed by Games in Kurdish. Treat them as historical claims rather than current store statistics. Steam figures also cannot represent an entire audience when a game is available elsewhere.

The reported snapshot gives it 94% positive feedback across 138 Steam reviews and an eight-player concurrent peak. Its central long-term goal—eventually leaving for the moon—gives the farming a more unusual setting and direction.

Shinehill: a farming routine wrapped in a spy mystery
In Shinehill, an alien spy is mistaken for a new resident on Shinehill Island and attempts to keep up the disguise. Farming is part of the routine, but the mystery of the assignment and the island supplies the other hook. The article reports 95% positive from 260 Steam reviews and a 58-player peak; it also says the game launched in March 2026.

The player arrives in Shimmerbrook as a researcher working with the Violet Archive. Cultivating a farm and studying unusual plants and creatures both feed into that research-focused premise. Snacko: restoring an island as a community project
Two cats leave home for abandoned Snacko Island and try to make it a place people want to live. Farming contributes to that restoration rather than standing alone as the whole premise. The reported Steam snapshot shows 95% positive from 887 reviews and a 317-player concurrent peak.
Wylde Flowers: farm life with a witch’s story
Tara moves to Fairhaven to help her grandmother’s farm, then discovers that her identity as a witch brings magic into the story. The article describes the game’s story as fully voiced in English. It reports 96% positive from 1,699 English-language Steam reviews and a 653-player peak. Because the game is available beyond Steam, that peak should not be mistaken for its total audience.

What the figures do—and do not—show
The reported review percentages suggest that the games were well received by the Steam reviewers counted in the article’s snapshot. They do not prove universal quality, and the small concurrent peaks do not reveal whether a game was overlooked, how many people bought it, or why fewer players were online simultaneously. The numbers are best used as a discovery clue: each title offers a clear variation on the farming-game formula, but its broader popularity cannot be inferred from this comparison alone.
