Google lists the Charge 6 at $159.95 on its U.S. specifications page, though price, stock, and sale terms can change. The tracker weighs 30 g and has an AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its listed hardware includes an optical heart-rate monitor, built-in GPS and GLONASS, an accelerometer, SpO2 sensors, NFC, an ambient light sensor, and electrical sensors compatible with the ECG and EDA Scan apps. Availability of some functions varies by country, and Google says health features are not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Google Charge 6 specifications

Exercise, health, and connected features
Google describes more than 40 exercise modes, all-day activity tracking, Active Zone Minutes, sleep tracking, and built-in GPS for pace and distance without carrying a phone. It also lists Google Maps and Google Wallet. Maps directions and some connected features require a compatible phone nearby; YouTube Music controls require a paid YouTube Music Premium subscription. Daily Readiness Score is listed as a Google Health Premium feature, and feature availability can vary. Google Charge 6 product page

Google’s 2023 announcement says Charge 6’s health sensors and machine-learning algorithm deliver “our most accurate heart rate tracking on a Fitbit tracker yet.” That is Google’s product claim, not an independent head-to-head test. The same announcement describes compatible gym-equipment connections and Google app controls. Google’s September 28, 2023 Charge 6 announcement
Battery, water use, and setup
Google advertises up to seven days of battery life and lists a two-hour full charge time. The seven-day figure is an estimate based on California testing in mid-2023 with pre-production hardware and software, default settings, and a median Fitbit-user battery profile. Actual life varies with use, environment, enabled features, and other factors; always-on display and SpO2 features require more frequent charging. Google Charge 6 specifications

The Charge 6 is rated for water resistance to 50 meters and designed to comply with 5 ATM under ISO 22810:2010 when manufactured. Google cautions that it is not waterproof, that resistance can diminish through wear or damage, and that it is intended for shallow water—not high-velocity or high-temperature water activities. What is known about the Fitbit Edge?
Not enough has been officially confirmed to compare the Edge reliably with Charge 6. An October 5, 2026 report described leaked retail images and a partial specification sheet, while noting that Google had not confirmed the Edge name, specifications, price, or launch date. A separate GSMArena report dated October 7 attributed a detailed specification sheet and European and UK price figures to a leak; it also said official launch timing remained unclear. These reports are not a substitute for a Google product page or announcement. October 5 Edge report · GSMArena’s October 7 Edge report
For that reason, leaked claims about the Edge’s display, battery, sensors, GPS, water rating, or price should not be treated as final specifications. Google’s May 2026 Fitbit Air announcement and current lineup information do not confirm Edge details. Google’s Fitbit Air announcement · Fitbit tracker lineup

Which tracker should you choose?
Choose Charge 6 if you need a documented option now
The Charge 6 is the practical choice if its officially listed features suit your needs and you want to make a decision using published specifications. Check the phone, region, and membership requirements for features you plan to use, and weigh the water-use and battery caveats against your routine.
Wait if the Edge is the reason you are comparing
If you are drawn to the Edge because of a rumored feature, price, or launch window, wait for Google to publish final information before deciding. There is not enough confirmed Edge data to say that it is better value, lasts longer, or offers a stronger feature set than Charge 6.
