The Fisher & Paykel OB60SC7CEX2 is a 60 cm built-in electric oven with seven cooking functions, including fan modes and Pizza Bake. Fisher & Paykel lists 85 L total capacity and 72 L usable capacity. Its feature set is clearly documented, but the accessible independent review page does not reveal its test scores, so a performance verdict cannot be established from the available evidence. Before buying, confirm the exact model, local stock, electrical requirements and cabinet fit for your installation.

What the OB60SC7CEX2 offers

Fisher & Paykel describes the OB60SC7CEX2 as a stainless-steel, contemporary-style 60 cm built-in oven. The manufacturer lists six shelf positions, 85 L total capacity and 72 L usable capacity. The distinction matters: usable capacity is the more practical figure when estimating room for dishes.

Its seven listed functions are Bake, Classic Bake, Fan Bake, Fan Forced, Fan Grill, Grill and Pizza Bake. The April 2026 quick-reference guide also refers to Pastry Bake with Pizza mode. Fisher & Paykel says the oven has seven functions including Bake, Fan Bake and Pizza Bake; that is a description of the product’s modes, not an independent assessment of how well they cook.

Cooking and convenience features

Fisher & Paykel describes AeroTech™ as circulating heat to support even cooking across multiple shelves. The manufacturer also lists a CoolTouch door, a balanced door and non-tip shelves. These are documented design features; the accessible independent model page does not provide results that verify their performance.

#1 Best Overall

The manufacturer says catalytic panels absorb oil and fat splashes. That describes the intended cleaning assistance, not a promise that the oven is self-cleaning or needs no maintenance. Consult the model’s manual for care instructions.

Dimensions and installation fit

Dimensions need checking against the exact installation drawing, not just a product summary. Fisher & Paykel’s Australian product page and April 2026 guide give external dimensions of 598 mm high, 596 mm wide and 565 mm deep. CHOICE lists claimed external dimensions of 598 × 597 × 565 mm and a cut-out of 580 × 560 × 550 mm. The sources therefore differ by 1 mm on width.

Fisher & Paykel cautions that specifications can change. Have the retailer or installer check the installation documentation for the exact model suffix and market, and verify clearances and cabinet cut-out dimensions at your site before ordering or fitting the oven.

Electrical requirements vary by market

The Australian quick-reference guide lists 220–240 V, 50 Hz and 15 A, as well as a 3000 W grill. These are Australian specifications in that guide, not universal requirements. Confirm the electrical supply and installation requirements for the unit sold in your country with Fisher & Paykel or a qualified installer.

Independent review evidence—and what it does not show

CHOICE’s page for this model identifies it as a 60 cm wall oven and labels it “Discontinued model.” The accessible page displays the claimed dimensions and cut-out measurements, but its Expert Rating and performance results—including heat distribution, roasting, pizza, ease-of-use scores and preheat time—are available only to members. Those hidden results cannot support a performance ranking or a claim that this oven excels or underperforms in a particular task.

CHOICE identifies Kim Gilmour as a senior project officer involved in in-house product testing and Fiona Mair as an oven tester, but the accessible model page does not attribute a specific test result or product verdict to either person. This review therefore distinguishes the manufacturer’s feature descriptions from independent testing rather than presenting unverified hands-on findings.

Price, stock and discontinued status

CHOICE labels the model discontinued, while Fisher & Paykel Australia’s page displayed AUD 1,099 and a 4.3/5 customer rating when accessed on 7 October 2026. These page values are market-specific and can change; the rating’s review count was not established. Neither the displayed price nor the manufacturer listing confirms stock or availability in your area.

Before committing, ask a local retailer to confirm the exact model suffix, current stock, warranty coverage and electrical compatibility. A “discontinued” label on one review site does not establish that every regional market has stopped selling the model.

Accessories and what to verify

The Australian manufacturer page lists catalytic panels, chromed shelf runners, a roasting dish, a step-down wire shelf and two sets of telescopic sliding runners. It identifies full-extension sliding shelves (part 565048) as optional, and separately lists a contemporary round aluminium handle kit (part 81645). Accessory lists can differ between regional product pages.

  • Ask what accessories are included with the specific unit being sold, rather than assuming the Australian list applies elsewhere.
  • Check with Fisher & Paykel or an authorized local parts seller that parts 565048 and 81645 are available and compatible with your exact model and market.

Who should consider the OB60SC7CEX2?

It may suit a buyer seeking a conventional 60 cm built-in oven with fan, grill and pizza modes, a stated 72 L usable capacity, and six shelf positions. The key buying decision is less about a proven performance result—the accessible test evidence does not establish one—and more about fit, local availability, the included accessories and whether the listed functions meet your cooking needs.

If comparing it with another oven, check the cut-out and electrical requirements first, then compare usable capacity, shelf positions, cooking modes, cleaning features, included versus optional sliding shelves, warranty and independently accessible test results. Avoid treating the OB60SC7CEX2’s feature list as a substitute for measured performance.
