This Series 7 box chimney wall rangehood has a stainless steel and glass finish. Fisher & Paykel lists dimensions of 595–1035 mm high, 898 mm wide and 500 mm deep. Airflow and noise: what the figures do—and don’t—tell you
Fisher & Paykel specifies maximum air movement of 780 m³/h and a maximum sound rating of 65 dBA. These are the manufacturer’s published maximum ratings, not independent measurements of capture performance or noise in a kitchen. The figures alone therefore do not establish how effectively or quietly the hood will perform in your particular installation.
CHOICE’s ducted listing has access-restricted expert rating, performance, ease-of-use and noise fields. Its recirculating listing shows a 65% recirculating-mode score; that is a mode-specific listing figure, not an overall product score or a substitute for the unavailable ducted results. Ducted extraction or recirculation
Ducted setup
The manufacturer lists top ducted extraction. CHOICE’s ducted listing specifies a recommended 150 mm duct diameter and a mounting-height range of 600–700 mm above the stove. Treat these as listing details to check against the current installation manual, cooktop requirements and local rules—not as installation instructions. The maker lists roof, side-wall and eave ducting kits as accessories, but availability and suitability need confirmation with a local seller.
Recirculating setup
The hood can also be configured for top-extraction recirculation. This requires separately sold carbon filters: CHOICE identifies filter 792481 and lists two filters as required. Its listing gives a three-month replacement interval; actual maintenance depends on use, so confirm the current manual’s guidance. The manufacturer also lists a recirculation diverter as an accessory. Ask the seller to confirm which fittings are included and what else your installation needs.

These are manufacturer-described features, not findings from an independent usability test. For electrical reference, Fisher & Paykel’s Australia quick reference guide dated 2025 lists 240 W for the motor and 8 W for lighting, for 248 W total, with a 220–240 V supply.
