How should the HC60PCHTX2 be installed?
Set the cooktop clearance
The manual specifies a hood clearance of 600–700 mm above an electric cooktop and 650–750 mm above a gas cooktop. It also warns that local gas or building authorities may require different heights. Check the guide supplied with the appliance and the rules that apply where it is installed before setting the mounting height.
Choose a suitable duct route
For ducted installation, the manual recommends 150 mm rigid or semi-rigid ducting and a minimum 160 mm ceiling opening for that duct. It favors smooth-walled ducting and says flexible ducting is not recommended; if it must be used, pull it as tight as possible. Ductwork is not supplied.

The manual states: “Efficiencies in the performance of your canopy are enhanced by the use of smooth, straight and short ducting options.” This is installation guidance, not an independently measured performance result.
Check ventilation and exhaust routing
The manual says exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue used by appliances that burn gas or other fuels. It also calls for adequate room ventilation when such appliances operate alongside the hood. Confirm the arrangement against the appliance instructions and applicable local requirements.
