If FireShot saves only what is currently visible, first make sure you chose Capture entire Page, not Capture visible Area. If the entire-page command still stops early or fails, check whether the problem occurs on one site or many, record your Chrome and FireShot versions, then try the page-specific options below. The remedies depend on the symptom; none is a guaranteed fix for every page.
1. Check the capture mode
FireShot has separate commands for capturing the visible viewport and the entire page. The visible-area option is meant to capture only what is on screen; the entire-page option is intended to include content beyond the current viewport. The manual describes these modes, though its menus may differ from current versions: FireShot Pro manual (2016).

- Open FireShot’s capture menu in Chrome.
- Choose Capture entire Page, rather than Capture visible Area.
- Save the result and check whether it includes content below the initial viewport.
If the command labels or arrangement have changed in your version, look for the option explicitly describing a full-page or entire-page capture.

2. Find out whether the failure is limited to one page
Try an entire-page capture on another site, then note the Chrome and FireShot versions. A failure on one page may involve that page’s layout or behavior; a failure across sites points to a different scope of problem. FireShot support reports include both page-specific cases and a historical Chrome-version issue, but they do not establish how often either occurs.

- Only one page fails: Try the selection or element capture option below. A FireShot support user reported that it worked on one page, but that is an anecdotal workaround, not a guarantee.
- Several pages fail: Record the versions and exact symptom—for example, a capture that stops partway down or a scrolling process that freezes. That information helps distinguish a mode or compatibility problem from a page-specific one.
A 2023 support case involved Chrome 116 and a password-protected page; it does not show that password protection is always the cause. See FireShot’s support report.
3. Try selection or element capture on a troublesome page
If entire-page capture fails on just one site, try Capture selection/element and select the relevant content. FireShot support recorded one case where this worked. Page layouts differ, so treat it as something to test rather than a universal fix. The report and follow-up suggestion are documented in FireShot’s selection/element support thread.

If selection capture cannot scroll
Some layouts may prevent selection mode from scrolling through the page. In that case, FireShot support suggested capturing to the Editor and cropping manually—if you can produce a complete capture in the Editor. This is a fallback, not a way to recover content that FireShot never captured.
4. Treat the Chrome 92 workaround as historical
In July 2021, a FireShot administrator reported that Chrome 92 could leave scrolling frozen and the extension stuck at “Stop capturing.” The temporary workaround was to reduce FireShot’s scrolling speed to 30% or less, save settings, and switch the extension off and on. The administrator later said FireShot 0.99.15 included a fix. These instructions apply to that historical Chrome 92 incident; do not assume they describe current Chrome menus or solve a current-version failure. Details: FireShot’s Chrome 92 support note.

5. Troubleshoot by symptom
