Use the tile for the particular account you need. Chase’s instructions describe this account-tile process without specifying a separate procedure for checking versus savings accounts. Chase’s account and routing number instructions provide the app steps.

Other ways to find your account number
On Chase.com
Sign in to Chase.com, select the account name, then choose “Account & routing number.” Chase lists this as an online alternative to the app. Chase: How to Find Account & Routing Numbers.
On a paper check
Look at the series of numbers printed along the bottom of a check. The first nine digits are the routing number, followed by the account number and then the check number. Chase explains the check layout here.

With the Digital Assistant
Chase says its Digital Assistant in the mobile app can find account and routing numbers. It is available on iOS and Android, but Chase says it does not currently serve Private Bank or Business Banking customers, or customers who have both personal and business accounts. Check Chase’s Digital Assistant information for current availability.

These numbers serve different purposes: the account number identifies your particular account, while the routing number is a nine-digit identifier for the bank. They are not the same as your debit-card number. Chase’s guide to bank account numbers explains the distinction.

Handle the number carefully
An account number is sensitive banking information. Share it only when needed for a legitimate transaction. Chase describes security measures for its app that may include encryption, two-step verification, and biometric login, and advises customers to contact Chase if they are unsure about sharing account information. Read Chase’s Security Center guidance.
If you suspect a fraudulent charge, Chase says to call immediately using the number on the back of your card. Chase’s personal banking contact page has contact guidance.
