Find a Missing Venmo Request in the App and Check Its Status

To see Venmo requests in the app, open Me > Transactions. Check the transactions feed for unfulfilled split requests, the Pending section for split-request status, or Scheduled > View all for scheduled requests.

Find an ordinary or split request in the Venmo app

1. Open Venmo and tap Me.
2. Tap Transactions.
3. Review your personal transactions feed. Venmo says unfulfilled split requests appear at the top of this feed. Venmo’s guide to splitting and sharing purchases

Check whether a split request is pending

From Me > Transactions, look under Pending. Venmo says you can delete a request or remind the other person from there; sending a reminder notifies them again. The recipient must complete the request before the money is sent to your account. Venmo’s split-request instructions

Find a scheduled request

Open Me > Transactions > Scheduled > View all. Select a scheduled request to review its details or make changes. Venmo’s scheduled-payment instructions

Check notification settings if you missed an alert

Open Me > Settings > Notifications to customize alerts. Notifications can tell you about activity, but the transactions feed is the documented place to inspect a request’s status. What to do if you cannot find a request

• Check Me > Transactions and look in the relevant feed or status section; for scheduled requests, use Scheduled > View all.
• If you expected an alert, review your notification settings. Venmo’s help pages do not promise that every request produces the same notification.
• If you received only an email and the reported request does not appear in the app or on Venmo’s website, treat the message cautiously. Venmo says such an email may be fraudulent. Venmo’s guidance on payments from strangers

Verify an unexpected request before acting

Venmo advises declining an unexpected request. If it appears to come from a friend or relative, contact that person through another method to confirm they sent it before taking action. Venmo’s guidance is direct: “If you’re not expecting a request from anyone, it’s best to decline the request.” Payment from a Stranger

Can you see an existing request on Venmo’s website?

Venmo documents starting a request on the web: sign in and select Pay or Request in the sidebar. Its web instructions do not provide a separate path for finding an existing request or request history, so use the app’s transaction paths above to locate one.
