Start with Galaxy Wearable → Find my watch on the phone paired with your watch. It can open Samsung Find or SmartThings Find, where you can check the location information available and, if the watch can connect, send a Ring command. Finding must have been enabled before the watch went missing; a disconnected watch may not ring or provide a current location.
Find the watch from your paired phone

Open Galaxy Wearable on the phone paired with the watch and tap Find my watch. Samsung says the app may hand off to Samsung Find or SmartThings Find.

In Samsung Find, select your Galaxy Watch from the device list to open its location view. If the watch is reachable, tap Ring.

In SmartThings, Samsung UK’s guide gives the route Life → Find. Select the watch and tap Ring. Labels and paths can differ with region and software version.

The Ring command sounds or vibrates the watch, depending on model. Samsung says it requires the watch and phone to be connected by Bluetooth or a network such as Wi-Fi; Samsung Australia also describes an internet connection through active LTE or Wi-Fi as an option. If the watch is offline, the command may not reach it.

Samsung’s web instructions apply to the named Watch8-family models and are not a promise that every Galaxy Watch has the same web controls. Location display is not guaranteed live, uninterrupted tracking: the service shows the information available for that watch and connection state.

Check whether finding was set up before the loss
Samsung says Find my Watch works only if device finding was enabled in SmartThings Find or Samsung Find before the watch went missing. If neither service can locate it, check whether the correct Samsung account and watch are selected, and consult the support page for your region and model. Samsung’s UK compatibility list includes Watch8 series, Watch Ultra, Watch7, Watch6, Watch5, Watch4, Watch3, Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Watch Active, but supported features and menu names can vary by phone software, watch model, app version, and region.

Samsung Australia suggests trying Searching Nearby when remote finding controls are unavailable and the watch is powered but disconnected. Samsung does not promise this will succeed. A nearby-search result is not a substitute for enabling device finding in advance or for a connection-dependent Ring command.

If you think the watch was stolen
Prioritize protecting your information rather than repeatedly sending recovery commands. Samsung says Galaxy Wearable can remotely lock or reset the watch when remote connection is enabled. For Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025), Samsung’s US guidance also documents Lost mode and Erase data in the finding services. These controls depend on supported device and setup; erase or reset is a data-protection action, not a way to keep locating the watch. If you believe it was stolen, avoid confronting anyone based on a map location and contact local authorities.
