Specifications and connection details are from FFALCON’s 40F1 product sheet. CHOICE independently lists two HDMI inputs, one rear USB input, 6.1 kg weight and dimensions of approximately 55 × 91 × 19 cm; it labels the model discontinued. CHOICE’s 40F1 listing displays A$349.00, but that listing figure is not confirmation of a current price or available stock.

The available evidence points to no built-in smart apps on the 40F1. CHOICE lists it without smart apps. In a review published on November 29, 2018, YugaTech described its tested Philippines-market unit as non-smart, with no internet connectivity. That account applies to the review sample; regional hardware revisions have not been established, so verify the exact unit rather than assuming every market version is identical.

Do not confuse the 40F1 with the FFALCON 40SF1. The 40SF1 is a separate model whose product sheet lists smart features, including Netflix, YouTube, Stan and Wi-Fi/Ethernet. Those capabilities—and its 200 × 200 mm VESA pattern—do not establish the features or mount pattern of a 40F1.
Adding streaming to a non-smart unit
If the particular 40F1 you confirm is the non-smart configuration described in the Philippines review, an HDMI streaming media player is one general way to add streaming services. Check the unit’s inputs and the player’s requirements before purchasing; the available evidence does not establish compatibility with a particular device.

How was the picture quality reported?
YugaTech reviewer Vaughn Chua’s November 29, 2018 hands-on account of a Philippines-market sample reported nice colors and dynamic contrast. The reviewer also observed reds that tended to look oversaturated and visible screen bleeding around the sides in extremely dark scenes. These are observations from one reviewed unit, not laboratory measurements or evidence of a defect rate across all 40F1 televisions. CHOICE’s accessible listing does not expose enough of its member-only test results to support a separate picture-quality verdict.

Does the 40F1 work for your setup?
For TV, video and external devices
Full HD resolution is 1920 × 1080, so the set is suited to sources that output at that resolution. Two HDMI inputs let you connect HDMI devices, while the USB 2.0 port, headphone output and AV input provide additional connection options. Confirm that the inputs you need are present and functional on the specific set, especially if it has been used or stored for years.

For wall mounting
FFALCON lists a 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern and says the wall bracket is not included. Before choosing a mount, check the rear-hole spacing on the actual TV, the mount’s weight rating and the wall’s installation requirements. The manufacturer-listed weight is 6 kg without the stand, but the mount and wall still need to be appropriate for the installation.
What should you check before buying a discontinued 40F1?
CHOICE marks the model discontinued, and current local availability and transaction prices are not established. A historical or listing price should not be treated as a current offer. Assess the individual television and the value of the deal rather than relying on old launch pricing.

- Confirm identity: Check the model label for “40F1”; do not infer 40SF1 features from a similar model name.
- Verify smart features: Check the actual menus and connectivity, particularly if built-in streaming matters to you.
- Test the panel: View bright colors and dark scenes to assess the specific unit for the reported picture issues, as well as any other visible faults.
- Test the inputs: If possible, confirm that both HDMI inputs, USB, AV and headphone output work as expected.
- Check mounting and completeness: Confirm the rear VESA spacing, whether the stand is included, and whether you need to buy a separate wall bracket.
- Ask about condition and cover: Establish the unit’s age, return terms and any remaining warranty before committing.

The FFALCON 40F1 is a basic 40-inch Full HD television with two HDMI inputs and a 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern. It is not documented as a smart TV in the available listings, and CHOICE identifies it as discontinued. Consider one only if the exact unit meets your connection needs, its condition checks out and its price reflects an older, non-smart set.
