Spain called up Under-21 forward Carlos Espí in his place for the scheduled matches against Czechia and Croatia.
Why did Ferran Torres withdraw from Spain?
The RFEF said Torres, a PSG player from Valencia, had been experiencing discomfort in his left ankle. The symptoms had not initially prevented him from training or playing, but persisted, so Spain released him from the squad to prioritise his recovery.
