What changed with through passes in FC 27?
EA says ground and lobbed through passes now follow directional input more strictly and receive less automatic steering toward open lanes. In practical terms, aim into the channel you want the ball to travel through rather than relying on the game to redirect a pass toward a safer-looking route.

When choosing that direction, consider both where the receiver is moving and where defenders are positioned. Those are useful aiming cues, not a guarantee that the pass will get through.
How do you do precision passes in FC 27?
- Check your mapping: Open the in-game Basic Controls or controller/keyboard settings and find the current precision-pass input for your platform and configuration.
- Choose the route: For a ground or lobbed through pass, aim toward the space you intend the ball to enter.
- Set direction and power deliberately: This is especially important for ground and through dinked passes, which EA describes as fully manual.
- Review the result: Notice whether the ball followed your intended channel and whether its weight suited the receiver’s run.
EA’s general passing guide and controls hub is another official place to check. EA also has a separate FC 27 mouse-and-keyboard controls article. Because controls may differ by platform or custom setup, verify the in-game mapping rather than importing a button sequence from an older game.

Why might dinked passes go the wrong way?
EA says ground and through dinked passes use a fully manual system. Their success relies heavily on your precision with both aim and power; the game is not described as selecting a safe lane or correcting poor power for you. If one goes astray, consider whether the direction missed the intended route or the power did not match the situation.
Should you use Assisted, Semi, or Manual passing?
EA lists three assistance levels for each of Ground Pass Assistance, Through Pass Assistance, and Lobbed Through Pass. Assisted is the default. The choice is about how much automation you want, not a universally best setting for every player.

What is Precision Pass Sensitivity?
EA’s settings reference lists Normal (the default) and High. It does not quantify the sensitivity difference or specify the exact response curve, so treat the setting as something to compare for your own input feel—not as a guaranteed accuracy upgrade.

A practical experiment is to begin at Normal, then try High in the same repeatable situation if aiming feels insufficiently responsive. Change only this setting while comparing attempts, so you can tell whether the difference suits you.
How do Competitive and Authentic presets affect passing settings?
EA says the Competitive preset applies gameplay settings mandatory in online multiplayer to offline play as well. Authentic retains or restores the default gameplay assists. If passing feels different between modes, check which preset is active before attributing the difference to your aim or timing.

Can Incisive Pass help with precision passes?
EA describes the Incisive Pass PlayStyle this way: “Through Passes are more accurate, Swerve Passes are delivered with more curve, and Precision Passes travel faster to the destination.” EA says Incisive Pass+ strengthens those effects: through passes become far more accurate, swerve passes use maximum curve, and precision passes travel at top speed. These are EA’s stated PlayStyle effects, not a promise that a pass will beat every defender.
A simple way to practice deliberate passing
Use a low-pressure offline match or practice environment to evaluate your own controls. This is a practice suggestion, not a tested optimization.
