Try these troubleshooting steps in order
- Check the account and access status. In the EA app, verify the signed-in account. If your access comes from a subscription or trial, check that it is still active. If you own the game through Steam or Epic, also make sure you are using the storefront account associated with that copy.
- Start FC 26 from its purchase storefront. For a Steam or Epic copy, open that client and launch the game there rather than starting it from a different route.

EA’s thread also mentions internet interruptions, antivirus programs, network policies, and other PC factors. Those are possible causes, not confirmation that any one of them is responsible for your error. The same thread documents temporary EA app incidents in 2024 marked resolved; that history is not evidence of a current outage affecting FC 26.

A third-party FC 26 article updated September 23, 2026 reports that launching through Steam or Epic and clearing the EA app cache helped its author. That is one person’s account, not a guaranteed fix or an official FC 26 diagnosis. Silicophilic: “FC 26 EA App Error: ‘You Don’t Have Access’”
Avoid unlinking accounts, disabling firewall protection, deleting game files, or running system commands as routine fixes for this message. The cited EA guidance does not recommend those measures, and account-link or security changes can create additional problems.
