For the Americas, XSEED Games announced the physical editions and US prices; Marvelous Europe is identified as the European publisher. The official site also identifies XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe Limited in its regional publishing information. Aniplex is named as publisher on Steam, and TYPE-MOON announced on August 31, 2026 that Aniplex had been selected as publisher following a change in the development structure. Publisher labels and editions can vary by region, so use the relevant local store listing rather than assuming every version is identical.

What does each edition include?
The main choice is between the base game, digital bonuses, and physical collector items. The announced contents differ by format:
#1 Best Overall
- LIMITED EDITION includes an artbook with over 100 pages and a 3 disc soundtrack within a SteelBook

Standard: choose the platform and format first
The standard edition is the straightforward option if you want the game without the Deluxe add-ons or Limited Edition collectibles. The publisher announced physical Switch and PS5 editions at $59.99, plus a Switch 2 physical edition at $69.99. It says the Switch 2 physical game will be fully on cartridge. Confirm that wording on the exact regional SKU and retailer listing before ordering; packaging and physical formats should not be assumed to match across regions.

Digital Deluxe: digital add-ons, not the collector box
Digital Deluxe includes three outfit packs—Beach Style, Night Style, and Festival Style—an arranged Fate/EXTRA music pack for use in-game, and a digital soundtrack and art book. It does not replace the Limited Edition’s physical three-disc soundtrack, Steelbook case, or printed art book.

- Maria has gathered enough strength to confront Leopold, but first, she must tack him down…
- This is the third episode of the murderous trilogy about Maria.
- 50 Clues is an immersive puzzle game that offers the experience of an escape room, but in a format that can played at home. Combine objects, solve puzzles, and decipher codes to complete the story.
- A smartphone or tablet keeps track of the solutions and provides multistep hints if the need arises.
- The story only makes sense to be played once, but the serial number can be activated up to 30 times.
Steam notes that some included content may also be sold separately, and that its digital soundtrack and art book are provided through a separate application. If you plan to buy add-ons individually, compare the final contents first so you do not pay twice for the same items. Steam also says product contents and specifications may change.
Physical Limited Edition: printed and disc-based extras
The Limited Edition is for buyers who want physical extras alongside the game: the boxed set, three-disc soundtrack, Steelbook case, and art book of more than 100 pages. XSEED said physical preorders would be available soon through the Marvelous USA Online Store and participating retailers. That announcement does not establish that a particular shop has an active listing or stock now, so confirm the exact edition and order status with the seller.

How to choose before you buy
- Confirm the platform. Make sure the listing is for PS5, PS4, Switch 2, Switch, or Steam as intended. Do not assume a physical version exists for every listed platform; the Americas announcement names physical Switch, Switch 2, and PS5 editions.
- Decide physical or digital. Physical formats are announced for selected consoles; digital options are announced across the listed consoles, with Steam as a store platform. For Switch 2, check that the specific physical listing says it is fully on cartridge if that matters to you.
- Match the extras to your priorities. Choose Digital Deluxe for the specified digital outfits, arranged music, soundtrack, and art book. Choose the physical Limited Edition for the printed art book and disc soundtrack. Standard is the game without those bundles.
- Check the local listing before paying. Verify regional price, language details, edition contents, stock, shipping, preorder terms, and any retailer bonus on the platform store or retailer page. The announced US prices do not establish current offers elsewhere.
What kind of game is Fate/EXTRA Record?
Fate/EXTRA Record reworks the 2010 PSP RPG Fate/EXTRA. It is a dungeon-exploration RPG set in the Moon Holy Grail War, a conflict in a digital world connected to the Moon Cell. The player chooses one of three Servants: Saber, Archer, or Caster.
The official descriptions say the remake revises and expands the original’s story, updates its visuals, and introduces strategic combat combining turn-based battles with deck-building Command Cards. PlayStation Blog describes customizing those cards and gathering information about rival Servants. Record should therefore be treated as a substantial remake and reworking, not as a promise that the PSP game’s combat or content remains unchanged. See the PlayStation Blog announcement for its description of the combat and story setup.
