What changed in Facer’s storefront?
Facer announced the redesigned storefront on September 28, 2026. Instead of presenting its catalog as a single broad library, the new layout organizes discovery around themed destinations: For You, Entertainment, Watch Brands, Facer Originals, Health & Fitness, and Sports. Community-made Looks—shared images of watch-face setups—also receive greater prominence, giving users another way to browse what others have created or chosen.

The update changes how users explore Facer’s catalog; it does not replace Wear OS, Apple Watch software or a watch’s system-level face settings. Facer says the storefront is for Apple Watch, Wear OS and other smartwatches compatible with Facer, but availability depends on the particular device. Facer’s storefront announcement describes the redesign and the upcoming collections.
What new watch-face collections are coming?
Timex: planned for Fall 2026
In a separate announcement dated September 29, Facer said its Timex collection would draw on designs including Marlin, Expedition and T80. The company gave a Fall 2026 availability window for smartwatches supported by Facer, but did not announce a specific launch day. Treat the collection as forthcoming until Facer confirms its release.

Facer CEO Ariel Vardi said the partnership would bring Timex’s designs to a new medium while staying true to the qualities that made the brand recognizable. The announcement is a preview of a digital watch-face collection, not a claim that every Timex design will be available on every compatible watch. Angry Birds and Sonic
The storefront announcement also previewed an Angry Birds collection and said a Sonic collection was in production. Facer did not provide specific release dates for either in the announcement, so their timing and device availability should not be assumed.

Will the new storefront work with your watch?
Not necessarily with every watch that runs Wear OS. Facer’s compatibility list, updated September 2, 2026, identifies support for selected Samsung Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel Watch models and separates some older devices as legacy, with updates potentially limited. Check Facer’s current compatibility list for your exact model and software version before relying on the storefront or a particular face.

Compatibility is especially important for Wear OS 6, because Google’s updated Watch Face Format does not preserve every feature used by older Facer faces. Facer says some legacy faces have not been migrated, and creators decide whether to release converted versions. Even a migrated face may lack older complications or interactive elements, including data such as location, phone battery or sunrise and sunset. Consult Facer’s Wear OS 6 compatibility and purchases FAQ if a face you previously used is missing or behaves differently.

Why are Facer watch faces unavailable after updating to Wear OS 6?
According to Facer, its previous rich-format faces are not supported on the latest Wear OS update unless they have been converted to the newer Watch Face Format. Conversion can involve feature compromises: some data sources and interactive elements from older faces are not supported in the updated format, and migration depends on the creator. Facer also says only one Facer watch face can be pushed to a Wear OS 6 watch at a time.
- Check that your exact watch model and software version appear on Facer’s compatibility list.
- Look for a converted or updated version of the face; the original may not transfer automatically.
- If a face is available but a complication or interaction is missing, it may rely on a feature the updated format does not support.
- If you are trying to push several Facer faces to a Wear OS 6 watch, account for Facer’s one-face-at-a-time limit.
These are Facer’s published support statements and may change as Google, watch makers and Facer update their software.

How to choose a face or collection
Before settling on a face, check three things: whether Facer supports your watch model and software, whether the face has a version for the current Watch Face Format, and whether it depends on a complication or interaction you need. If you routinely switch between Facer faces on Wear OS 6, also consider the one-face push limit. The redesigned categories can help narrow browsing, but they do not remove these device and format constraints.
