The iPhone 17 with Apple’s A19 leads the available Geekbench 6 results over the Galaxy Z Flip7 with Samsung’s Exynos 2500. In separate reviewer tests, the iPhone scored 3,701 single-core and 9,460 multi-core, versus 1,857 and 6,479 for the Flip7. Those results point in A19’s favor, but they are not a controlled chip-only comparison: they come from different phones, software environments, and review runs.
The specifications also describe different designs, not interchangeable standalone products. Samsung’s documented Exynos 2500 configuration has ten CPU cores and an Xclipse 950 GPU; Apple’s A19 in iPhone 17 has a six-core CPU and five-core GPU. The scores below are device-level evidence, not a guarantee of how every app or workload will perform.

Exynos 2500 vs Apple A19 benchmark: what the scores show
The most directly comparable figures available here are Geekbench 6 CPU results reported in reviews of the Galaxy Z Flip7 and iPhone 17. Both the single-core and multi-core results favor the iPhone 17, but each outlet tested its own phone; neither set represents a shared test session or an isolated measurement of the chip.

Why benchmark scores vary
A benchmark run captures a phone’s implementation of a processor along with its thermal design, cooling, software, and test conditions. Android Central notes that the Flip7’s compact foldable design constrains thermal management. Its reviewer describes everyday performance as adequate during the review period, but that observation is not a guarantee for every app, usage pattern, or software version.
Geekbench’s live iPhone 17 chart displays a different snapshot: 3,197 single-core and 8,473 multi-core. Geekbench labels the chart data as user-submitted Geekbench 6 results, so it is not the same kind of sample as Tom’s Guide’s review figures and may change as submissions accumulate. The figures are best read with their source attached, rather than treated as one definitive score. View Geekbench’s iPhone 17 chart.

What the GPU results can—and cannot—tell you
Android Central reports 3DMark Wild Life Extreme at 3,716 and Solar Bay at 7,625 for the Galaxy Z Flip7. Tom’s Guide reports 130.97 fps in 3DMark Wild Life Original Unlimited for the iPhone 17. These are different tests and metrics, so they do not establish which phone has the faster GPU. A meaningful numerical comparison would require results from the same test and metric under comparable conditions.

Exynos 2500 specifications compared with Apple A19
Samsung documents the Exynos 2500 as a ten-core processor arranged 1+7+2, with an Arm Cortex-X925 named in its product description. Apple’s UK iPhone 17 specifications list the A19 as a six-core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores. Core counts and labels describe configuration; they do not, on their own, determine which chip is faster in a given task.

Sources: Samsung’s Exynos 2500 specifications, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 device sheet, and Apple’s UK iPhone 17 specifications. Samsung’s device sheet identifies the Galaxy Z Flip7 as an Exynos 2500 phone, while Apple identifies A19 as the iPhone 17 chip. The cited Apple page does not provide a directly comparable total CPU clock or the details of Samsung’s core arrangement, so those values are not inferred here.
What Samsung’s Exynos 2500 performance claims establish
Samsung says the Exynos 2500 improves big-core performance by 15% over the Exynos 2400, based on Samsung’s internal testing. The company also says results may vary with operating conditions and other factors. That is a Samsung claim with Exynos 2400 as its baseline—not an independently measured comparison with A19.

Samsung describes the Xclipse 950 as a customized fourth-generation GPU based on AMD RDNA 3 and says it supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Those features explain what Samsung documents about the graphics hardware; they do not establish a head-to-head gaming advantage over the iPhone 17 GPU.
Which is faster, Exynos 2500 or A19?
For the specific phones and review results cited here, the iPhone 17 with A19 posts higher Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core scores than the Galaxy Z Flip7 with Exynos 2500. That makes A19 the leader in these reported CPU benchmark results. It does not prove the same gap in every app, sustained workload, game, or phone configuration.

The evidence does not establish a controlled battery-efficiency winner or a sustained-performance winner, and the GPU figures use different 3DMark tests. For a purchase decision, treat the benchmark comparison as one indicator alongside the actual phones’ features and your intended use—not as a substitute for like-for-like testing.
