Exynos 2400e vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: Which Chip Comes Out Ahead?

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 leads in two surfaced benchmarks, while Exynos 2400e leads in another. See the specifications and limits of the available comparisons.

There is no single winner across the available benchmark results. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scores higher in the surfaced AnTuTu 11 and 3DMark Solar Bay comparison, while the Exynos 2400e scores higher in 3DMark Steel Nomad Light. Those figures come from an aggregated comparison, not a controlled test of two matched phones. Samsung identifies the Exynos 2400e as the processor in the Galaxy S24 FE; the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 specifications describe a platform whose implementation can vary by phone.

What are the key specification differences?

The published CPU configurations differ in core count and peak clock speeds. Samsung’s regional Galaxy S24 FE product page lists the Exynos 2400e as a deca-core processor and gives four CPU frequencies. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 brief specifies three groups totaling eight Kryo CPU cores.

Specification Exynos 2400e Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
CPU configuration Deca-core, as listed on Samsung Mexico’s Galaxy S24 FE page One prime, five performance, and two efficiency Kryo cores
Listed CPU frequencies 3.1, 2.9, 2.6, and 1.95 GHz on Samsung Mexico’s Galaxy S24 FE page Up to 3.4 GHz prime, 3.2 GHz performance, and 2.3 GHz efficiency
Graphics information The cited Samsung specifications do not identify a GPU model Adreno GPU; Qualcomm lists Vulkan 1.3 support and hardware-accelerated ray tracing as platform capabilities
Manufacturing process 4 nm, according to Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE announcement The cited Qualcomm brief does not state a manufacturing process

The frequency figures are not directly equivalent disclosures: Samsung’s list is for the Galaxy S24 FE configuration, while Qualcomm describes platform CPU groups and cautions that CPU speed varies by platform version. Qualcomm advises checking the phone maker’s specifications for the actual device. A listed platform capability also does not guarantee that every phone implements every optional feature.

What do the benchmark results show?

NanoReview’s comparison page displayed a test entry dated September 8, 2026. Its reported scores split by workload rather than producing one consistent winner:

Benchmark Exynos 2400e Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Higher reported score
AnTuTu 11 1,977,269 (56 samples) 2,345,563 (443 samples) Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
3DMark Steel Nomad Light 1,769 1,652 Exynos 2400e
3DMark Solar Bay 7,699 8,190 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The sample counts shown above apply to the AnTuTu 11 figures on that page; the cited comparison does not provide sample counts for the two 3DMark results. These are aggregated results reported by NanoReview, not measurements from a matched-phone lab test. Scores can reflect differences in devices and test conditions as well as chips, so they are useful for context rather than a guaranteed prediction of a particular phone’s performance.

How should you interpret CPU results?

The available Geekbench Browser records illustrate why an individual result should not be treated as a chip-wide average. Two uploads for the Galaxy S24 FE, both using Geekbench 6.7.1 on Android 16, produced different scores:

  • An August 6, 2026 upload scored 2,072 single-core and 6,610 multi-core.
  • An October 1, 2026 upload scored 1,955 single-core and 6,315 multi-core.

Both are individual Galaxy S24 FE runs with the Exynos 2400e, not a direct comparison against a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone. Their difference also shows that a benchmark result can vary between runs. Neither score establishes how all phones using a given processor will perform.

Which chip is better for gaming, heat, and battery life?

The benchmark evidence does not establish a universal gaming winner: Snapdragon leads in Solar Bay, while Exynos leads in Steel Nomad Light. Nor do these scores establish which chip runs cooler, lasts longer on battery, or sustains higher performance during extended play. The cited sources do not provide matched-device measurements of temperature, power use, battery life, or repeated-load performance.

Those outcomes depend on more than the processor name. Phone cooling, firmware, power limits, software, and the specific game or workload can all affect performance. A short benchmark score is not a substitute for sustained testing in the phone you intend to use.

How to make a fair comparison

For a useful head-to-head assessment, compare actual phones under comparable conditions rather than treating a processor specification or an aggregate score as the whole answer. Check that the comparison identifies:

  • The exact phone models, since cooling and power limits vary by device.
  • The software version and benchmark version used.
  • The workload being tested, including whether it measures CPU, graphics, or a combined score.
  • Whether the result is a short peak run or performance after repeated tests.
  • Sample size and testing method, especially when figures come from an aggregated page.

Samsung names the Exynos 2400e as the Galaxy S24 FE’s processor in its Galaxy S24 FE announcement. For a device-specific specification listing, see Samsung Mexico’s Galaxy S24 FE product page. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform Product Brief describes its platform configuration and capabilities. The benchmark figures come from NanoReview’s comparison page; the two device submissions are available in Geekbench Browser’s August 6 Galaxy S24 FE record and October 1 Galaxy S24 FE record.
