In the cited benchmark comparison, the Exynos 2400e leads the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in multi-core CPU results and the listed graphics tests; their Geekbench 6 single-core scores are close. Those figures suggest a benchmark advantage for the Exynos in those workloads, not a guaranteed advantage in every phone or game. The results come from aggregated samples rather than a controlled test of both chips in otherwise identical phones.
How the specifications compare
NanoReview lists both chips as 4 nm processors. The Exynos 2400e has 10 CPU cores and Samsung’s Xclipse 940 GPU; the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has eight CPU cores and Qualcomm’s Adreno 740 GPU. Notebookcheck describes the Xclipse 940 as based on AMD RDNA 3.

| Specification | Exynos 2400e | Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU configuration | 1 Cortex-X4 at 3.11 GHz; 2 Cortex-A720 at 2.9 GHz; 3 Cortex-A720 at 2.6 GHz; 4 Cortex-A520 at 1.95 GHz | 1 Cortex-X3 at 3.2 GHz; 2 Cortex-A715 and 2 Cortex-A710 at 2.8 GHz; 3 Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz |
| CPU core count | 10 | 8 |
| Manufacturing process | 4 nm | 4 nm |
| GPU | Samsung Xclipse 940 | Adreno 740 |
These are the specifications listed by NanoReview; the Xclipse architecture description is from Notebookcheck. The Exynos has more cores and a newer listed prime-core generation, while the Snapdragon has the higher listed peak CPU clock. Neither core count nor peak frequency alone predicts performance: results depend on how a workload uses the cores, as well as the phone’s power and thermal limits.

| Benchmark | Exynos 2400e | Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 | What to take from it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 2,045 | 2,004 | Close listed scores |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 6,397 | 5,311 | Exynos leads in this aggregated comparison |
| AnTuTu 11 total | 1,977,269 | 1,757,044 | Exynos has the higher listed total; component subscores do not all rank the chips identically |
| 3DMark Steel Nomad Light | 1,769; 70% listed stability | 1,092; 67% listed stability | Exynos leads in this graphics test; stability is the value reported on the comparison page |
| 3DMark Solar Bay | 7,699; 29 FPS listed | 5,312; 20 FPS listed | Exynos leads in this test’s score and listed frame rate |
Aggregate results have uneven sample counts. For AnTuTu 11, NanoReview lists 56 Exynos samples and 238 Snapdragon samples; for Geekbench 6 CPU, it lists 24 and 132 respectively. Different phones, cooling systems, software versions, and benchmark conditions may contribute to those pools. NanoReview also notes that game frame rates can vary with the game version, operating system, and other factors. The table is useful for seeing a broad pattern, but it cannot establish a precise performance gap for a particular handset.

Everyday responsiveness and short CPU tasks
The listed Geekbench 6 single-core results differ by only 41 points, with the Exynos ahead. That is a small separation in this comparison, not proof that a user will notice a speed difference in ordinary apps. App launch time and responsiveness also reflect storage, software, memory management, and the phone’s tuning.
Work that uses several CPU cores
The Exynos 2400e’s higher listed Geekbench 6 multi-core score points to an advantage in that test’s multi-threaded workload. It is the clearer CPU gap in the displayed figures. It should not be treated as a universal result for every sustained task, because the comparison aggregates results from different devices.
Graphics and games
The Exynos scores higher in the cited Steel Nomad Light and Solar Bay comparisons. These synthetic graphics tests indicate how the sampled devices performed in those particular workloads. They do not guarantee higher frame rates, better image quality, or smoother play in every game. Game versions, graphics settings, software support, and thermal behavior all matter.
Why phone model matters as much as the chip name
Samsung identifies the Galaxy S24 FE as an Exynos 2400e phone. Its announcement lists 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options, with availability varying by carrier, country, or region. Samsung Canada also lists Exynos 2400e for its Galaxy S24 FE variant.
That gives the Exynos side a concrete phone reference, but the Snapdragon scores in an aggregated comparison may come from multiple phones with different cooling and power settings. Notebookcheck’s benchmark page includes results from a Galaxy S24 FE with 8 GB of RAM; those are results for that device, not a result that applies to every Exynos 2400e phone. A Geekbench Browser entry separately identifies an S24 FE test using Samsung s5e9945, with a 10-core layout and cluster frequencies of 1.96, 2.59, 2.90, and 3.11 GHz.
How to use the comparison when choosing a phone
- Compare exact handset models. Check the phone’s cooling design, memory configuration, software version, and regional chipset variant rather than assuming every model bearing a processor name performs alike.
- Match the evidence to your workload. Multi-core scores are relevant to heavily threaded tasks; graphics tests are clues about graphics performance, not substitutes for tests of the games you play.
- Look for comparable device-level results. The most useful head-to-head evidence tests the exact phones under the same workload and conditions. The cited aggregate comparison does not isolate chipset performance from handset design.
- Judge battery life and sustained speed from phone tests. The cited figures do not establish a universal winner for battery life, thermals, long gaming sessions, or day-to-day responsiveness.
Notebookcheck characterizes Exynos 2400e CPU performance in its benchmark set as comparable to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. That device-focused context is a useful reminder that benchmark conclusions can vary with the tested handset and methodology.
