Neither chip is a clear all-round winner. In NanoReview’s comparison, the Snapdragon 778G+ scores higher in AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6, while the Exynos 1380 scores higher in 3DMark Wild Life Extreme and PCMark 3.0. Those are aggregated benchmark results—not a controlled comparison of identical phones—so the better choice depends on the handset and your priorities.
Exynos 1380 vs Snapdragon 778G+: key specifications
The Exynos 1380 and Snapdragon 778G+ are octa-core mobile platforms, but their published specifications describe different CPU and connectivity designs. Vendor-listed capabilities do not guarantee that a phone maker enables every feature, and actual performance depends on the handset.

Camera-sensor support, charging, wireless features, and network options depend on the phone maker’s implementation and regional model.

The results split by test. NanoReview’s comparison page lists the following aggregates; they should be read as results reported on that page, not guaranteed scores for every device.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Source: NanoReview’s Exynos 1380 vs Snapdragon 778G Plus comparison, accessed October 7, 2026. The AnTuTu figures have uneven sample counts—113 Exynos tests and 16 Snapdragon tests—so that aggregate is especially poor grounds for declaring a universal winner. The other figures are also aggregates, not results from two otherwise identical phones tested under controlled conditions. Avoid comparing scores across different benchmark versions.
Is the Exynos 1380 better for gaming?
The cited 3DMark Wild Life Extreme result favors the Exynos 1380, but it does not establish that every Exynos 1380 phone will game better than every Snapdragon 778G+ phone. Cooling, power limits, software, and sustained thermal behavior are properties of the finished handset as well as the chip. The available comparison is not a cross-device controlled thermal evaluation, so it cannot settle long-session frame rates, heat, or battery drain.

How should you choose between phones with these chips?
Use the processor as one part of the decision, not as a substitute for comparing the devices. Samsung’s US Cellular specification sheet identifies the Galaxy A54 5G SKU SM-A546UZKBUSC as an Exynos 1380 phone, with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display at 120 Hz, 6 GB of memory, and 128 GB of storage. That is a specific US Cellular configuration, not proof that every regional A54 variant has the same specifications.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Before choosing a handset, compare:
- Your workload: Look for device-level evidence for the apps or games you use, especially sustained results for demanding tasks.
- Memory and storage: Check the exact RAM and storage configuration; the processor name does not tell you how much memory the phone includes.
- Battery and thermals: Compare capacity and credible endurance or sustained-load testing for the actual models. The benchmark figures here do not determine battery life or heat.
- Display and cameras: Refresh rate, panel quality, camera sensors, and image processing are handset decisions, even when the platform supports particular features.
- Software and connectivity: Verify update support and network-band compatibility for the exact regional model and carrier.
- Price: Compare the phones at the price and condition available to you; the chip scores alone do not establish better value.
Samsung’s US Cellular Galaxy A54 5G specification sheet is useful for checking that one example SKU. Confirm the model number and regional specifications before applying it to another A54 listing.
