What its capacity does—and does not—tell you
The 2.3 kW rating is a capacity specification, not a promise that the unit will deliver a particular room temperature or cool a stated floor area. The available manufacturer material does not establish room coverage, real-world cooling performance, noise level, or running cost. Room conditions, installation and other factors can affect results, and there are no independent measurements here to quantify them.

The manual lists 920 W / 4.2 A for cooling power/current consumption. That is not enough by itself to calculate a household’s bill: the actual cost depends on use and the applicable electricity tariff, and no real-world energy test is available for this model.
Modes and controls
The manual describes automatic, cooling, dry/dehumidify and fan modes, along with sleep and Wi‑Fi functions. The unit has two fan speeds and a 24-hour timer. The remote control requires two AAA batteries, which are not supplied.
Wi‑Fi setup is included among the manual’s functions, but the available product information does not establish details such as supported smart-home platforms. Check the instructions and the current retail listing if a particular app or integration matters to you.

Installation and day-to-day use
The manual gives a firm minimum room-size restriction: “Do not install, operate or store this appliance in a room smaller than 11m2.” It also calls for a flat, level position, at least 50 cm from objects, and clear air inlets and outlets. Close doors and windows while cooling, and keep the filters clean.
Plan the exhaust route before buying. The supplied pipe is 1,500 mm long and connects to the window arrangement described in the manual. Check that the included window parts suit your window and that the hose can reach without obstructing airflow or creating a trip hazard.
If the appliance has been moved or tilted, the manual says to leave it upright for at least 12 hours before connecting it to mains power. It is intended for indoor use only.

For routine filter cleaning, the manual instructs users to remove dust by gently tapping or vacuuming, rinse the filter under warm running water, then dry it thoroughly before reinstalling. Do not run the appliance without its filters fitted.
The active carbon filter is non-washable. Its life varies with ambient conditions; the manual says to check it periodically and replace it if necessary, approximately every six months. It does not provide a replacement part number, so verify model-specific compatibility before purchasing a replacement.

The manual says refrigerant-system servicing should be performed by competent persons and that only a licensed professional may dismantle or modify the appliance. Follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions rather than attempting refrigerant work yourself.

The manufacturer’s Excelair portable air conditioner range lists models with 2.3 kW, 3.4 kW, 4.1 kW and 4.3 kW cooling capacities. It also lists one 4.1 kW reverse-cycle model with 3.3 kW heating. These are useful distinctions when choosing what to investigate, but the category page does not establish comparative room coverage, cooling performance, noise, energy cost or value.
