The October 22 exception
Latency was the only horror entry with a later date in Tubi’s announcement. It was scheduled for October 22 rather than joining the October 1 batch, so it should not be described as an October 1 arrival.
What “free on Tubi” means
Tubi describes its service as free and legal, with commercials funding viewing. Its help documentation says there is no subscription charge and no ad-free viewing option. “Free” therefore means no subscription or rental payment—not commercial-free playback. Why this is not Tubi’s entire October horror catalog
The corporate page is a selected “What’s Coming to Tubi in October” announcement. It identifies scheduled arrivals, but it does not document every horror film already available before October, every title that might have left during the month, or a day-by-day catalog snapshot. Tubi’s live horror category is a changing catalog, not an archive of October 2024.
