The Epson WorkForce WF-2930DWF is a compact A4 inkjet multifunction printer with print, scan, copy and fax, plus a 30-page automatic document feeder (ADF), Wi-Fi and automatic A4 duplex printing. Its feature set suits a home office that handles occasional multi-page documents and needs fax; its Epson-rated ISO speeds of 10 pages per minute in monochrome and 5 in colour are modest, so it is not the obvious choice for fast, high-volume printing. Ink uses individual Epson Pineapple 604 cartridges, available in standard and XL sizes.
Is the Epson WorkForce WF-2930DWF any good?
It is a feature-rich option for a home office that values an ADF, fax, mobile printing and automatic two-sided A4 printing in one machine. Those functions make it more versatile than a basic printer, particularly for handling multi-page paperwork without placing each sheet on the scanner glass.

The main trade-off is speed: Epson rates it at 10 pages per minute in black and 5 in colour under ISO/IEC 24734. That is a better guide to routine document work than the separate, faster plain-paper figures Epson also publishes. The available sources are manufacturer specifications and documentation, not independent testing, so they do not establish print quality, reliability, noise or comparative value.

Epson’s current product specifications distinguish standards-based ISO rates from other headline figures. The ISO/IEC 24734 ratings are the more useful reference for comparing ordinary printing workloads.

| Colour, plain paper | 18 pages per minute | Separate Epson headline specification; not the ISO rate |
All figures are Epson’s published specifications, not independently measured results. Epson also lists 42 seconds to print a 10 × 15 cm photo on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper; that figure describes a specific media and print size, not a general photo-printing speed. The product uses a four-colour inkjet system with pigment black and dye colour inks. Epson lists a minimum droplet size of 3 pl and maximum print resolution of 5,760 × 1,440 dpi, but those specifications alone do not establish how output will look in practice.
Does it print double-sided?
Yes. Epson specifies automatic duplex printing for A4 plain paper. It has one standard paper tray with a listed capacity of 100 sheets. The ADF handles multi-page feeding for scanning, copying and faxing, but the specifications do not establish duplex scanning through the ADF; do not assume it scans both sides of a document automatically.
Does it have an automatic document feeder?
Yes. The ADF holds up to 30 pages, making it useful for feeding a multi-page original rather than placing pages on the scanner individually. Epson lists single-sided ADF scanning at 4.5 images per minute at 200 dpi. The flatbed scanner is a contact image sensor with a listed optical resolution of 1,200 × 2,400 dpi. The ADF capacity is a maximum feed capacity, not a claim about duplex scanning.

Mopria Scan is also listed for scanning. A Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection is available for a wired connection. What ink does the WF-2930DWF use?
The UK-market WF-2930DWF uses four individual Epson Pineapple 604 cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Epson UK lists both standard and XL options. The following examples and yields are from Epson’s UK accessories catalog; page yields are catalog estimates, and actual results vary with print content and use.
| UK catalog item | Code | Epson-listed yield |
|---|---|---|
| Standard black cartridge | C13T10G14010 | 150 pages; 3.4 ml |
| XL black cartridge | C13T10H14010 | 500 pages; 8.9 ml |
| Standard four-colour multipack | C13T10G64010 | 150 black pages and 130 colour pages |
| XL four-colour multipack | C13T10H64010 | 500 black pages and 350 colour pages |
Check the cartridge code and regional compatibility before ordering: consumable codes can differ by market. The printer’s individual cartridges mean you can replace a depleted colour separately rather than replacing a combined colour cartridge. To estimate ownership cost, compare current cartridge prices and Epson’s catalog yields against your expected mix of black and colour pages; yields alone do not determine your actual cost per page.

What paper and space does it need?
The UK listing gives dimensions of 375 × 300 × 218 mm and a weight of 5.2 kg. It has a 3.7 cm colour panel and one 100-sheet standard tray. Listed media include A4, A5, A6, B5 and B6 paper, C6, DL and No. 10 envelopes, Letter and common photo sizes.
Epson lists a compatible paper-weight range of 64–300 g/m², with the upper figure applying to Epson Ultra Glossy Photo Paper where relevant. Epson cautions that third-party media may not be compatible. Automatic duplex is specified for A4 plain paper, so do not infer that every listed paper size or specialty stock can be used for two-sided printing.

Epson advertises its ReadyPrint Flex ink subscription on the UK product listing, including a six-month introductory offer for new customers. That is a country-specific promotion, not a universal or permanent offer. Check current local terms, eligibility and plan details directly with Epson before deciding; the listing does not establish that a subscription will save money for every print volume.

Who should buy the WF-2930DWF?
- A good fit: a home office that needs fax, an ADF for multi-page originals, wireless or phone printing, and automatic A4 duplex printing.
- Consider another model: if fast printing, high-volume output, duplex ADF scanning or a larger paper capacity is essential. The listed capacity is 100 sheets, and duplex scanning is not established by the cited specifications.
- Check before buying: the current price of the correct regional 604 cartridges, their listed yields, and whether the available subscription terms suit your actual usage.
For an apples-to-apples comparison with another multifunction printer, look at ISO mono and colour speeds, whether duplex is automatic and which paper it supports, ADF capacity and scan sides, connectivity, cartridge yields and current ink prices, fax capability, and tray capacity. The WF-2930DWF’s specifications are documented by Epson; they do not by themselves establish how it compares in price or real-world performance with a particular competitor.
