EPOS announced the IMPACT 400 Wireless on October 6, 2026, as a Bluetooth headset for open offices and hybrid work. It adds wireless connectivity to the IMPACT 400 Series, alongside wired IMPACT 400 and IMPACT 400 ANC models. EPOS claims up to 39 hours of talk time with ANC enabled and reports 99% word recognition in a specified laboratory noise test; neither figure guarantees the same result in every workplace. U.S. and Canadian availability is announced for November 2026, with a U.S. MSRP of $219.99 excluding VAT.
What is the EPOS IMPACT 400 Wireless?
The IMPACT 400 Wireless is a double-sided, on-ear Bluetooth headset aimed at office calls and hybrid work. EPOS announced it on October 6, 2026, as the wireless option in its IMPACT 400 Series, which also includes wired IMPACT 400 and IMPACT 400 ANC variants. This is a manufacturer launch announcement, not an independent review: the performance figures below are EPOS claims, and the product has not been independently tested here. EPOS’s launch release describes it as a headset for open offices and hybrid professionals.

Its feature set combines a boom microphone with AI-based environmental noise reduction, hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), Bluetooth multipoint, and an included USB-C Bluetooth dongle. The headset weighs 145 grams, folds flat, and has a reversible boom. EPOS lists a two-year limited warranty; the applicable terms should be checked for the buyer’s region.

EPOS says third-party laboratory testing under the Microsoft Azure Speech Test Specification produced 99% word recognition in a noisy environment. The stated test used English speech at 89 dBSPL at the mouth reference point, with surrounding noise at 70 dBA. EPOS cautions that real-world results may vary. The percentage is therefore a result from that specified test setup—not a promise that every caller will understand 99% of speech in any open-plan office. The launch release provides the test conditions.

- Effectively cancels outside noise to reduce distortion and deliver clear, uninterrupted sound
- Listen to your favorite music with this over-the-head design headset for clear, balanced audio
- These supra-aural IMPACT offer the comfort of portability without compromising audio quality
- Your voice will be heard loud and clear with the boom microphone design for efficient Headset usage
- Noise-canceling microphone technology reduces background noise for clear, distraction-free communication
The boom microphone has AI-based environmental noise reduction and an LED mute-status indicator. You can lift the boom to mute and lower it to answer, according to EPOS. These controls may help during interruptions or quick transitions, but the announced test figure does not describe performance in every kind of background noise or across every call platform.
Teams certification and other platforms
EPOS lists Microsoft Teams with Premium Microphone for Open Office certification, along with Zoom Workplace and Call Center, Google Meet, and Webex by Cisco. It also advertises dedicated Teams and ANC controls. The certification is relevant to buyers deploying Teams in open offices; it does not establish that the headset’s microphone performs identically across all rooms, devices, or services.

How long does the IMPACT 400 Wireless battery last?
EPOS reports these maximum battery figures from laboratory testing. Actual runtime varies with settings, conditions, and battery age.

1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute| Use or charging mode | EPOS-stated figure |
|---|---|
| Talk time, ANC on and busy light on | Up to 39 hours |
| Talk time, ANC off | Up to 47 hours |
| Listening time, ANC on | Up to 63 hours |
| Listening time, ANC off | Up to 110 hours |
| Fast charge | 20 minutes for up to 12 hours of talk time |
| Full cable charge | Approximately two hours |
The two talk-time figures use different conditions: the 39-hour maximum includes ANC and the busy light being on, while the 47-hour maximum is for ANC off. The 20-minute fast-charge claim is also a manufacturer maximum, not a guarantee of a fixed runtime for every call pattern.

What connectivity and controls does it offer?
The headset supports Bluetooth Low Energy Audio and the LC3 codec, and can maintain two simultaneous Bluetooth connections. That can suit a workday split between, for example, a computer and a phone. EPOS includes a BTD 400c USB-C Bluetooth dongle and a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter, providing an option for computers that use either port type.
EPOS states a wireless range of up to 98 feet (30 meters). That is a maximum claim; the company says actual range depends on connected devices, obstructions, wireless interference, and other conditions. The headset also has call and volume controls, ANC and Teams controls, and support for EPOS Connect and EPOS Manager software.

Can you replace the battery or ear pads?
EPOS says the battery can be replaced without tools and that the ear pads are replaceable. That makes serviceability a notable part of the design, but the launch announcement does not provide a Wireless-specific ear-pad part number or confirm retailer stock. Check compatibility with the exact Wireless model before buying replacement pads.
The headset weighs 145 grams and has a reversible boom and fold-flat construction. Those details may matter if it will be carried between home and office or worn through long meetings; EPOS identifies it as an on-ear model, so fit remains personal.

How much does it cost, and when will it be available?
EPOS announced U.S. and Canadian availability for November 2026. The launch release lists an MSRP of $219.99 excluding VAT and £169.99 excluding VAT, while saying UK and EU pricing and availability will be confirmed by region. It does not name retailers or confirm an Amazon listing. Check local availability and final pricing with EPOS or a seller before planning a purchase.
How does it fit alongside other EPOS headsets?
EPOS positions the IMPACT 400 Wireless within its business-headset range. The company describes the IMPACT 500 and IMPACT 1000 as higher-range Bluetooth options, and says the IMPACT 1000 adds adaptive ANC, wear detection, triple connectivity, incoming speech clarity, and wireless charging. These are EPOS portfolio descriptions, not independent comparative test results. Buyers comparing models should weigh the features they actually need—especially the IMPACT 400 Wireless’s open-office Teams certification, stated battery maxima, two-device Bluetooth support, included dongle, on-ear fit, and replaceable battery—against the price and regional availability of each option.
In the launch release, EPOS VP of Strategy and Product Management Søren Holm Printz said the headset gives organizations “a practical way to equip hybrid teams with professional audio at scale.” That is the company’s positioning; the release does not include a named independent review of the product.
