CHOICE lists the stroller as suitable for newborns only with a separately sold newborn insert. A third-party-hosted copy of the Oscar M2 use-and-care guide identifies model EC101-2 and says it is intended for use from six months to 22 kg without the Newborn Insert Cushion, or from newborn to 22 kg with it. Treat that manual copy as model-specific reference, not a substitute for the official documentation supplied with the stroller.

Before using an insert, confirm that it is the correct option for the exact Oscar M2 version and batch. If buying a used, refurbished or ex-display stroller, check that the required insert is included or available and that its condition is suitable. Do not assume that a carry cot or capsule adapter is included or interchangeable with the insert.

The mirrored manual says the model was tested to AS/NZS 2088:2013. That is a statement reproduced from a third-party-hosted, model-era manual, not confirmation of current compliance for every unit. For a safety or compliance question, use the official manual and documentation for the exact product batch and check applicable current requirements.

- Measure the boot opening as well as the available depth and width; account for any removable parts you would need to take off before loading.
- Check where the folded stroller will be stored at home, and whether you can lift its listed 11 kg weight into your vehicle.
How should you compare it with other strollers?
Edwards & Co’s current Australian range includes Oscar Nu and Lucci. The company describes Oscar Nu as an update drawing on Oscar M2 and Lucci as a travel stroller; those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent comparative findings. The available public material does not establish a fair head-to-head result.

- Confirm newborn equipment. If you need newborn use, verify the correct compatible insert and whether it is included, sold separately or unavailable.
