Those descriptions are fan documentation, not developer controls documentation, so confirm each one in the game:
- Open the controls screen in the game’s settings menu and confirm which input is listed for the light attack, heavy attack, dodge, and lock-on. Use the in-game labels, not a guide’s button names, because layouts can differ by controller.
- In an early, low-risk encounter, practice the dodge on its own until you can perform it without thinking about it.
- Once the dodge is reliable, test whether the restore input described in fan guides follows a well-timed dodge in your own play, and note the timing window you find.
- Only add heavy attacks and lock-on to your routine after the basic dodge and attack rhythm feels consistent.
Upgrades: where to spend and what remains unknown
A fan beginner guide states that Upgrade Gears and Crystals are spent on upgrades in Tick Town. That is the most specific upgrade information available from the sources checked, and it comes from a fan guide rather than the developer.

- Which upgrades are most valuable for combat or for platforming
- How much each upgrade costs in Gears and Crystals
- Whether there is a fixed unlock order
- Whether any upgrade is required to finish the game or reach any particular area
Until you have that information in front of you, use a simple decision check each time you have currency to spend:
- Read the description of each upgrade in the Tick Town menu before buying it.
- Prefer upgrades that match the problem you are actually having: if a fight keeps overwhelming you, look at combat options; if a jump keeps failing, look at traversal options.
- Avoid assuming that an upgrade is mandatory just because a guide ranks it highly without showing its effect.
Exploration and finding secrets
The developer’s FAQ says the game has four worlds, each with two or three unique biomes plus common biomes shared across the game. Knowing which world and biome you are in is the first step to describing any location accurately.
A fan beginner guide recommends following the story marker out of Tick Town, collecting items along the path, and returning later to routes that look gated. That is a sensible way to explore, but the guide does not say which routes unlock when, so treat the advice as a general approach rather than a confirmed sequence.

- The ability required to reach it, such as jumping, dashing, grappling, or gliding
- The route, step by step
- The reward
- The game version the route was tested on
A fan secrets page explicitly leaves the total number of secrets and whether any of them are missable unconfirmed. Until a versioned route source says otherwise, do not assume you can return to an area to collect a missed item, and consider noting your location and what you have collected before you leave a biome.

The developer estimates that players who fully complete the game and find its collectibles and achievements will need about 16 hours. This is an estimate attributed to Weird Beluga (2026), not a measured average from playtesting data.
Two other developer statements matter if you played the demo. The developer said demo progress will not carry into the full game, because the full release adds content and polish intended for a fresh start. The FAQ also mentions possible DLC, but makes no commitment and says feasibility depends on how the game launches.
