The Durapres Prep Master Pro DP800 is a 1300 W household food processor with a 3.5 L bowl and a large set of attachments. Retailer and CHOICE pages checked in early October 2026 listed it at $279. The specifications and advertised features agree across the sources we could access. Independent performance is a different matter: CHOICE lists the DP800 in its food processor testing, but its Expert Rating, task scores and pros and cons are visible only to members. This article therefore covers what the product is and what buyers should verify, but it cannot give an independent verdict on how well the DP800 performs.

The Good Guys lists the following features for the DP800:

These are manufacturer or retailer claims. Whether the lock system and feet work as described in daily use is not established by any source we could access. The DP800 user manual, hosted as a PDF by Appliances Online, opens its important safeguards section with this line: “Like any electrical appliance, the Duraprès Prep Master Pro must be handled with care at all times.” The manual spells the name with an accent; retailer pages do not.

Retailer copy lists the following attachments. Confirm each one against the box contents for your market before buying, because listings can differ by region and bundle.

The sources do not say whether any of these accessories are sold separately or whether replacement parts are available from the manufacturer. Ask the seller or check the manual’s parts and accessories section before assuming you can replace a lost disc or blade.

Independent test results: what is and is not visible
CHOICE tests food processors across several task categories. For the DP800, the categories it lists are:

The accessible CHOICE page shows that these categories exist for the DP800, but it does not show the scores in them, the overall Expert Rating, or the recommendation. Those fields are reserved for members. Because the scores are not visible, we cannot say how the DP800 ranks against other food processors, and this article does not infer a result from the category names. A single positive customer review on The Good Guys page, with a five-star rating, is one buyer’s experience and says nothing about how the machine performs across the wider market.
If you want independent results, a CHOICE membership is the route to the full rating. If you cannot access it, look for a published test that names the DP800 model number and states its test conditions and date.

Size and weight: the listings disagree
Published figures for the DP800’s size and weight are not consistent:

The differences may reflect different measurement methods or different packaged configurations, but the sources do not explain them. Before you buy, check the dimensions and weight in the manual or with the manufacturer, and measure the bench space and cupboard clearance you actually have.

Cleaning and care
One retailer describes the bowl, blades and attachments as dishwasher-safe. The same listing does not say that the motor base is, and you should not assume that it is. Check the cleaning section of the manual for the approved method for each part. The manual’s contents include a dedicated cleaning section, a troubleshooting section and a warranty section.
Warranty
CHOICE and The Good Guys both list a two-year warranty. Warranty terms vary by country and retailer, and the manufacturer’s current terms are what apply, so confirm them in writing for your purchase.
Intended use
Appliances Online states that the DP800 is not intended or designed for commercial use. It is a home appliance, and it is not suited to a café, restaurant or other high-volume kitchen.
