Check the battery or charging hub’s indicator against the manual for your exact drone model and charging setup. A blinking light may mean the battery is charging; a full battery may show steady lights, turn its lights off, or be indicated by a solid light on the hub. There is no universal drone-battery light pattern.
How to check whether your drone battery is charged
- Identify the drone and battery model. The battery’s indicators and their meanings can differ between models.
- Identify where it is charging. It may be in the aircraft, connected directly to a charger, or installed in a charging hub.
- Check the matching manual or manufacturer support page. Read the indicator chart for the battery or hub that is showing the light, not a different component or model. See DJI’s battery-level LED descriptions and aircraft battery charging guide for DJI-specific examples.
- Match the observed state to that model’s full-charge indication. Do not use elapsed charging time alone; DJI notes its example charging durations are approximate and depend on the equipment and setup.
- Disconnect the charger when the manufacturer says charging is complete. Follow the instructions for your specific battery and charging method.
What blinking and steady lights can mean
Sequentially blinking or pulsing battery LEDs can indicate charging. But the full-charge state varies: some DJI examples show four steady battery-level lights, while others show the battery LEDs off after charging directly. In certain hub setups, the hub’s indicator changes to solid green. These are model-specific examples, not a code that applies to every drone.

Battery lights and hub lights are separate indicators. Read the chart for the component whose light you see; a hub’s status light may describe the charging process or an error rather than display the battery’s level.

For the specific hubs covered in DJI’s charging-hub indicator guide, pulsing green indicates charging and solid green indicates all batteries are fully charged. The guide also lists solid red for certain power-supply or battery errors and blinking yellow for a temperature condition on the models described. Check that guide for your exact hub before interpreting a pattern.

- Compatible: Specially designed for DJI Mini 4K,Mini 2,Mini 2 SE,Mini SE drone battery
- Multifunction: full charge mode, storage charge mode, discharge battery(using Mini 2 battery as power bank), check battery level
- Full charge mode(Charging time): [Input≥PD 35W] two batteries are charged at the same time. Two Mini 2 batteries about 80 minutes
- Storage Charging Mode--Batteries with less than 60% charge will be charged to 60%,This battery level is ideal for long-term storage.NOTE:In this mode, the battery level is higher than 60%,the battery will not be charged
- Discharge mode/Using Mini 2/4K Battery as Power Bank:Connect USB port of the charging hub,you can use Mini 4K/2 battery to charge remote controller or other USB devices
If the lights do not match the manual
Do not diagnose a battery from an unfamiliar blink pattern. DJI’s battery-level LED guide documents some charging alerts, including cases associated with excessive charger current or voltage and short-circuit or internal-communication errors. For the specified overcurrent or overvoltage case, DJI advises using the standard provided charger; certain other cases call for DJI testing or repair. Apply these instructions only when the pattern matches the guide for your battery.
If a battery will not charge, does not blink while charging, or shows a pattern not covered by its documentation, DJI advises sending it for inspection. Its abnormal-blinking guidance covers those cases. If the battery can power on but charging fails, check the aircraft app for an error prompt and follow DJI’s charging-failure guidance or contact DJI Support as appropriate.

- 【Storage Charger and Discharger】VIFLY WhoopStor 3 is the first 1S LiPo charger with storage function. It includes both charging and discharging functions. Just select your target voltage, it will do it for you automatically.
- 【Colorful LCD Screen, Intuitive Interface】VIFLY WhoopStor 3 installs high quality LCD screen, the charging status is displayed clearly and the intuitive interface makes the operation very simple.
- 【Fast Charge Speed】The charge current range is from 0.3A to 1.3A, you can choose different charge current for different size batteries, it is better to charge the battery with 2C rate.
- 【6 Independent Ports】6 independent charging channels, not necessary to ensure the batteries are all the same voltage and same size. You also can unplug one that's done and plug in another while the others are still charging.
- 【Multiple Power Input】It supports Type-C, XT60 and DC power input. Type-C used PD and QC protocol that supports fast charge at 9V and 12V, but it not supports regular 5V USB charge.
Use the charger and method approved for your model
Use a compatible, manufacturer-approved charger or hub and follow the manual’s instructions for whether the battery should be charged in the aircraft, directly, or in a hub. Charging methods, indicator behavior, and approximate durations can vary by model and setup, so do not assume an accessory or light pattern from another drone applies to yours.
