To host Dragon Ball Zeef, keep the client and server on the same release: install Dragon Ball Zeef-2.5.zip in a separate Forge instance for Minecraft 1.7.10, then build the dedicated server from the matching DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip. Do not upload a normal client folder as a server.
Running a modpack with friends? Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks (CurseForge, FTB, Technic) and free DDoS protection.
The pack uses Forge 10.13.4.1614 and the selected 2.5 listing contains 57 mods. You can self-host for maximum control or use a managed game host if you prefer a panel that deploys the Forge 1.7.10 server pack for you.

Every player connecting to your server needs a client configured for the same Minecraft, Forge, and Dragon Ball Zeef release. A server running 2.5 should not be paired casually with a 2.4, 2.3, or older client.
Choose and verify the correct files
Use one release on both sides
- Choose release 2.5 unless you have a specific reason to run an older version.
- Download Dragon Ball Zeef-2.5.zip for each player’s client.
- Download DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip for the dedicated server.
- Keep the two archives together in a clearly named folder such as
Dragon-Ball-Zeef-2.5so an older archive is not selected accidentally.
Do not combine a 2.5 client with a 2.4 server pack while troubleshooting. Change one release at a time and keep the client and server release numbers identical.

Why the client ZIP is not the server pack
A modpack client contains files arranged for a player’s launcher instance. A dedicated server needs server-side libraries, configuration, and startup files arranged for a server environment. Modpacks.ch specifically warns against blindly uploading an ordinary client folder. Start the server from the server-pack artifact instead, and retain the selected release, loader, manifest, and overrides as one matched set.

Install the Dragon Ball Zeef client
Install the pack as its own Forge instance rather than modifying a general-purpose 1.7.10 installation. A separate instance prevents Dragon Ball Zeef’s 57-mod configuration from colliding with another pack’s mods, settings, or worlds.
GDLauncher method
GDLauncher documents a quick-install flow that can resolve the pack and its dependencies:
- Open GDLauncher and choose the option to create a new instance.
- Select Forge as the loader.
- Choose the supported Minecraft/Forge version for the pack: Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1614.
- Open the instance’s Addons area.
- Paste the quick-install ID
#dbzeef. - Let GDLauncher resolve and install the dependencies, then wait for the instance to finish importing.
- Launch the instance once from the client before attempting to connect to a server. This creates the instance files and exposes any missing-download or Java-runtime error immediately.
If you install through another launcher, use the same principles: create a new Forge 1.7.10 instance, import the Dragon Ball Zeef 2.5 files, and do not mix its mods or configuration with another profile.

- SURVIVAL ADVENTURES — Face mysterious foes, travel across varied landscapes, and venture into perilous dimensions.
- PLAY TOGETHER — Play solo or join friends in local split-screen and cross-platform play across console, mobile, and PC. Online multiplayer supports up to 8 players.

Client checks before joining
- The launcher profile says Minecraft 1.7.10.
- The profile uses Forge 10.13.4.1614, not a newer Forge branch.
- The instance is identified as Dragon Ball Zeef 2.5.
- The game reaches the title screen without a mod-loading error.
- You can create or load a test single-player world. This confirms that the client can load the pack before networking is added to the equation.
Prepare a dedicated server from DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip
Use the server-pack download listed for the same 2.5 release. The exact files and startup layout can vary by distribution, so preserve the pack’s directory structure instead of copying selected client folders by hand.
Local or self-managed machine
- Create an empty server directory with enough free storage for the server files, logs, configuration, and world backups.
- Copy DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip into that directory and extract it there.
- Read the included server instructions and identify the Forge server launcher or startup script supplied by the pack. Do not invent a JAR filename if the pack provides one.
- Run the supplied startup method once. If the server asks you to accept Minecraft’s EULA, stop, open the generated EULA file, and set the acceptance value as instructed before restarting.
- Allow the first launch to generate configuration and world files. Stop the process cleanly after generation completes.
- Make a backup copy of the new world and configuration before changing gameplay settings or inviting players.
- Start the server again and watch the console for Forge or mod-loading errors. A successful startup should finish loading Forge and the pack rather than stopping at a missing dependency or invalid configuration message.
No published source for this pack establishes a guaranteed RAM amount, CPU model, storage requirement, tick rate, or player limit for self-hosting. Set the Java and Forge runtime in line with the server-pack documentation and the capabilities of your machine, then measure the result with your own world and player count.
Managed hosting panel
Many game-hosting panels let you upload or select a modpack and then expose a startup configuration. The published instructions for the older DBZSERVERPACK2.0 say: “Delete all files on server and just upload this. Make sure to change the JAR type to custom on settings.” Treat that as a version-specific precedent, not an automatic 2.5 procedure.

- Skins! We have biome settlers, city folk, town folk, and more!
- The Nether and all its inhabitants. Fight Ghasts and make friends with Pigmen
- Cross platform play for up to five players between Pocket Edition and Windows 10
- Revamped touch controls, controller support, and a controller mapping screen
- Enhanced Weather effects! Accumulating snow and more
- Confirm that the panel supports Forge 1.7.10 and accepts the Dragon Ball Zeef 2.5 server pack.
- Take a downloadable backup of any existing world and configuration before replacing files.
- Check the panel’s current labels for a custom JAR, custom server type, or custom startup command. Names differ between providers.
- Only delete existing server files after verifying that the backup is complete and that the panel’s 2.5 instructions require it.
- Upload or install DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip exactly as the provider documents. Keep the archive’s server-side structure intact.
- Verify the startup command and selected Java/Forge runtime before pressing Start.
- Read the live console from the first boot. Stop and correct a loader, dependency, or path error instead of repeatedly restarting the same configuration.
Do not apply the 2.0 wording blindly to 2.5. A panel may now provide a dedicated modpack installer, use a different custom-JAR control, or expect a particular startup file.
Start safely and test a connection
Use a staged first launch
- Keep the server private while it performs its first complete startup.
- Confirm that Forge finishes loading and that no Dragon Ball Zeef or Dragon Block C dependency is reported as missing.
- Check that the world and configuration files are created in the expected server directory.
- Connect with one correctly configured 2.5 client.
- Move, open a container, and perform a few ordinary actions in the world. Watch the server console for repeating errors while you do this.
- Stop the server cleanly and back up the world after the connection test.
- Only then give the connection details to the rest of the group.
When a player cannot connect
- Version mismatch: compare the client’s Dragon Ball Zeef release with the server’s server-pack release. Both should be 2.5 for this guide.
- Loader mismatch: verify Minecraft 1.7.10 and Forge 10.13.4.1614 on the client and the server.
- Missing or extra mods: rebuild the client from the pack rather than adding random files to an existing profile.
- Server stops during startup: read the first Forge/mod error in the console, not only the final shutdown line. Restore the last known-good backup before experimenting with replacements.
- Panel starts the wrong file: inspect the selected server type, custom-JAR field, and startup command. The older 2.0 instructions do not guarantee the right control for 2.5.
Self-hosting versus managed Dragon Ball Zeef hosting
Self-hosting and managed hosting solve different problems. The right choice depends on whether you want control over the machine or a simpler deployment workflow.
| Consideration | Self-hosting | Managed hosting |
|---|---|---|
| Initial setup | Install Forge, extract the server pack, configure the runtime, and manage files yourself. | A provider may offer a one-click Dragon Ball Zeef deployment for Forge 1.7.10. |
| Control | Full control over files, Java/Forge settings, schedules, and system access. | Control is mediated by the host’s panel and plan limits. |
| Recurring cost | No hosting subscription, but you provide the machine, network, electricity, and maintenance. | Monthly fee; plan specifications and prices can change. |
| Backups and support | You must create, store, and test backups and solve most failures yourself. | The provider may supply panel tools, support, and backup options; confirm what is actually included. |
| Changing server settings | Direct access to configuration and startup files. | Changes depend on the panel’s available controls and provider policy. |
| Best fit | Owners comfortable with file management, networking, and troubleshooting. | Groups that value quick deployment and a managed control panel. |
What a provider’s advertised plan means
Game Host Bros advertises one-click Dragon Ball Zeef deployment for Forge 1.7.10, includes the server pack, and lists NVMe storage, DDoS protection, and a 6 GB starting plan. At the time covered by the listing, that plan was advertised at $11.99 per month. These are provider claims and a volatile commercial price, not an independent performance test. Confirm the current price, renewal terms, included backups, support scope, and exact Forge 1.7.10 workflow before paying.

- access new mini games and game modes through servers
Memory and performance: what is actually known
No independent benchmark or official capacity table establishes a universal CPU, RAM, storage, tick-rate, or player-count requirement for Dragon Ball Zeef. Performance depends on the world, loaded chunks, automation, combat activity, view distances, and the number of simultaneous players.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsGame Host Bros states that the pack runs best with at least 6 GB of RAM and suggests 10 GB or more for busier servers. Treat those figures as that provider’s guidance, not as a guarantee that every 6 GB machine will perform the same way.
Measure your own server
- Start with the smallest group you expect to support and keep the world configuration fixed while observing it.
- Monitor memory use, CPU load, storage latency, and server tick time through your host panel or operating-system tools.
- Record the conditions when lag appears: player count, location, loaded areas, and recent mod activity.
- Increase resources or reduce load only after identifying a pattern. More memory will not correct every CPU, storage, network, or mod-logic bottleneck.
- Repeat the check after major world growth or a pack-version change.
Updating without breaking the world
- Write down the current client release, server-pack release, Forge version, and any configuration changes.
- Back up the world, configuration, and the complete server directory.
- Read the new release notes or listing for compatibility instructions.
- Update a test copy first, using the matching client and server artifacts for that release.
- Join the test copy with one client and check the console for missing mods, registry errors, or world-loading failures.
- Only replace the live server after the test copy works and the backup can be restored.
Never assume that a newer client can join an older server, or that files from 2.4 and 2.5 can be merged safely. Keep each release’s client, server pack, loader, manifest, and overrides together.
Quick Recap
Frequently overlooked details
- The server pack is mandatory for a conventional dedicated server: the client ZIP is not a drop-in replacement.
- A separate client instance prevents contamination: avoid reusing a profile that contains another modpack.
- Older instructions are not automatically current: the “delete all files” and “custom JAR” wording was published for server pack 2.0, so verify the panel workflow for 2.5.
- Backups must exist before destructive panel actions: deleting files without a verified copy can remove the only world.
- Hardware recommendations are not guarantees: monitor your own server rather than treating a vendor’s RAM figure as a player-capacity promise.
Final setup checklist
- Client archive: Dragon Ball Zeef-2.5.zip.
- Server archive: DBZSERVERPACK2.5.zip.
- Minecraft: 1.7.10.
- Forge: 10.13.4.1614.
- Client installed in a dedicated Forge instance.
- Server extracted from the server pack, not copied from a client folder.
- World and configuration backed up before public access or file deletion.
- Panel custom-JAR and startup settings verified for 2.5 rather than copied from the 2.0 wording.
- One successful test connection completed before inviting the full group.
- Memory, CPU, and tick behavior monitored under your actual player load.
