Yes. Samsung’s standard Galaxy Tab S7 FE package includes an S Pen. Samsung’s launch specifications list it as in-box for both the Wi-Fi and 5G versions, so you don’t need to buy it separately. The caveat applies to used, refurbished, carrier and marketplace units, where the box may not be complete.

Samsung’s May 27, 2021 launch announcement says: “An S Pen is included in-box, so you can make the most of that large display and power through your tasks with even greater efficiency.” You don’t need a cover or keyboard to use the pen.

Does the included S Pen need charging?
No. Samsung’s India launch article (June 18, 2021) says the pen “doesn’t need to be charged” and claims latency under 30 ms. That latency figure is Samsung’s own claim, not an independent measurement.

Samsung Korea’s support documentation lists the Tab S7 FE S Pen as follows:

These figures describe the pen Samsung documents for this tablet. Don’t assume a third-party or replacement listing matches them.
Compatibility and limitations
The best-supported statement is that the S Pen Samsung supplies is the one it documents for the Tab S7 FE. Samsung describes it for handwriting conversion, drawing and note-taking. Samsung Korea’s support article adds two limits:

The official material I found doesn’t include a compatibility matrix for separately sold S Pens from other Galaxy devices. So I can’t confirm that every S Pen generation works fully with this tablet, including any Bluetooth-style features. If you buy a different pen, check that the listing names the Tab S7 FE.

Samsung’s statements describe the standard launch package from 2021. They don’t cover every current reseller bundle or secondhand box. Before you buy a used, refurbished, carrier or marketplace unit:

- Confirm that the listing says the S Pen is included, and look for it in the photos.
- Ask whether the pen is original Samsung, not a generic stylus.
- Don’t count on a cover or keyboard being included unless the listing says so.
If your pen is missing or damaged
Buy a replacement that explicitly lists the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and matches its model details. Samsung’s own accessories are the safest route. Covers are optional, and you only need them for protection or typing.
