Yes—the Galaxy A32 has a fingerprint sensor, but its location depends on which version you mean: Samsung specifies an in-display sensor for the India Galaxy A32 4G and a side-mounted sensor for the Galaxy A32 5G.
Where is the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy A32?
| Model | Sensor location | Official source |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A32 4G, India version announced in 2021 | In-display | Samsung Newsroom India |
| Galaxy A32 5G | Side-mounted | Samsung Newsroom U.K. and Samsung Newsroom Canada |
Samsung’s U.S. A32 5G announcement also lists a fingerprint sensor among the phone’s sensors, while Samsung Canada’s specification table calls it “Side Fingerprint.” See Samsung Newsroom U.S.

How to tell whether you have the 4G or 5G model
Check the phone’s full model name and model number in its device information or on its packaging. Do not rely on “Galaxy A32” alone: the 4G and 5G phones are distinct versions, and the location of the fingerprint sensor differs. Regional configurations and naming can also vary, so confirm the exact model before following instructions for a particular sensor location.
What the official specifications do—and do not—confirm
Samsung’s India announcement, published March 3, 2021, identifies the India Galaxy A32 4G as having an in-display fingerprint sensor. Samsung’s regional materials identify a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the A32 5G. These are feature and placement specifications, not current tests of biometric performance.
