It depends on the platform. Logitech documents the F710 for PC/Windows and specifically confirms it works with Android TV in XInput mode. Its documentation does not confirm current macOS support or universal compatibility with Android phones, tablets, or consoles; it explicitly says the controller is not compatible with Xbox 360.
Does the Logitech F710 work on Mac?
Logitech’s technical specifications identify the F710 as a PC gamepad and list Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 as supported operating systems at release. They do not list macOS. Logitech also says it does not provide its configuration software for non-Windows systems. That does not prove a Mac can never recognize the controller, but Logitech’s documentation does not officially confirm current Mac support.

If you want to use one with a particular Mac, check whether that macOS version and game support the controller, and inspect the game’s input settings. Recognition by a particular game or third-party input layer would be specific to that setup, not confirmation of general Logitech support. Does the Logitech F710 work with Android?
Android TV
Yes, Logitech specifically says the F710 works with Android TV and recommends setting the controller’s physical switch to XInput (X) for optimum performance. Its guide maps the Logitech button to Android TV Home and Back to Android TV Back; Start and Mode have no Android TV function. Logitech’s Android TV controller guide
#1 Best Overall
- The 2.4 GHz wireless connection uses a tiny Plug-and-Forget Nano-receiver that stays in your USB port, even on laptops, for fast data transmission with minimal delays, dropouts, or interference.
- With broad game support, the Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games
- Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* Requires software installation
- Dual vibration motors let you feel every hit, crash and explosion in games that support vibration feedback for a more realistic and immersive experience
- A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on game console controllers
Android phones and tablets
The Android TV compatibility statement is not a blanket guarantee for Android phones or tablets. Compatibility may depend on the device, its USB host or adapter support, and whether the game recognizes the F710. Logitech’s cited Android guide does not establish support for every phone, tablet, adapter, or Android game.
Does the Logitech F710 work with consoles?
Logitech explicitly states that the F710 is not compatible with Xbox 360. The manufacturer documentation cited here does not establish a complete compatibility list for other consoles, so check the official controller-support information for the exact console model rather than assuming that a USB receiver or XInput/DirectInput support is enough. What do the F710’s XInput and DirectInput settings do?
The physical switch changes which input mode the controller presents: XInput (X) or DirectInput (D). Logitech recommends XInput for Windows games designed for XInput. DirectInput can provide basic input through Windows drivers and can be configured with Logitech software. A game’s support for the selected interface matters; changing modes cannot make an unsupported operating system or console recognize the controller.
The quick-start guide notes that a game expecting XInput may not work when the F710 is set to DirectInput unless you change the mode or configure the controller with Logitech software. Logitech says that configuration software is not provided for non-Windows systems, though some games allow input configuration in their own settings. F710 quick-start guide

How does the F710 connect?
The Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad connects through its USB nano receiver and uses two AA batteries. Logitech lists a wireless range of 10 m (30 ft); actual range can vary with the surrounding environment. A target device must be able to use the receiver, either through a suitable USB host port or an appropriate adapter. Those hardware requirements do not, by themselves, establish software or game compatibility.
