The EZVIZ H7c Dual 2K+ pairs a fixed wide-angle lens with a motorized pan-and-tilt lens, so one view can keep watch on a chosen area while the other turns toward details. That is more useful than a single moving lens when you need two areas visible at once—but setup and app usability, constant power, and storage choices matter too. Published reviews report strong image quality alongside some usability and privacy shortcomings.
Does the H7c Dual actually have two cameras?
Yes. The indoor Wi-Fi camera, model CS-H7c-R100-8G44WF, has two lenses with different jobs. Its fixed 2.8 mm lens provides the broader view; its 6 mm lens is motorized and can pan and tilt for a closer, steerable view. EZVIZ describes the views as usable together, including an app display that shows a wide view and a close-up at the same time. You can tap a region in the wide view to bring the motorized lens toward it. EZVIZ’s product specifications and feature descriptions are the source for these capabilities.

In practical terms, the fixed view can continue showing a doorway or room while the other lens follows activity or checks another area. This is not the same as two independently placed cameras: both lenses are housed in one unit and share its position, power connection, network connection, and app.
What do the lenses and resolution specifications tell you?
EZVIZ labels both lenses 2K+. Its listed maximum resolution is 2560 × 1440. The stated viewing angles are diagonal measurements unless otherwise noted:

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| View | Lens | Viewing angle | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed | 2.8 mm, F1.6 | 108° diagonal; 92° horizontal; 50° vertical | Broad, stationary room coverage |
| Motorized pan-and-tilt | 6 mm, F1.6 | 60° diagonal; 51° horizontal; 28° vertical | Narrower, steerable close-up view |
These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The wider fixed angle and narrower motorized angle explain why the two feeds complement each other: one covers more of the room, while the other can direct attention to a smaller area. EZVIZ also lists color night vision, motion detection, human-shape detection, loud-noise detection, patrol mode, and two-way audio. Frame rate is described as adaptive to network transmission, so the listed resolution alone does not promise a fixed frame rate or identical performance on every connection. The product page provides the specifications.
What did published reviews find?
CNET France: useful dual views, with app friction
In its exact-model review published 2025-01-08, CNET France reported good image and sound, responsive operation, and useful monitoring of two places at once. The reviewer said the AI functions appeared to work well in their use. The same review found some settings laborious, the app in need of improvement, and the touch call button insufficiently responsive. These are the reviewer’s observations, not a guarantee that every user will have the same experience. Read the CNET France review.

Stiftung Warentest result, as summarized by Testberichte.de
Testberichte.de says its summary is based on Stiftung Warentest’s test published 2025-09-25 in issue 10/2025. It reports an overall “gut” (1.8), with favorable assessments for image quality in daylight and artificial light, night images, motion detection, and setup. Its summary also identifies weaker assessments for brightness adjustment, settings and notifications, handling, instructions, audio, and data protection. This is a secondary summary, not the full test report; consult the original test for its methods and complete findings. See Testberichte.de’s summary.

The camera needs a constant power connection. EZVIZ lists DC 5V/2A power over Type-C; it is not specified as a battery-powered camera. The device supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, plus one self-adaptive 10/100 Ethernet port. EZVIZ says the Wi-Fi band is selected during setup and cannot be changed later, so choose the intended band before completing configuration. The listed operating-temperature range is −10°C to 45°C; this is an indoor camera, and the temperature specification is not a claim of weather resistance. These details are manufacturer specifications. Check EZVIZ’s product page and use the current regional H7c Dual support page for the applicable manual and datasheet.

- Choose placement and power. Position the camera where the fixed lens can cover the area you want to keep in view and where the motorized lens can turn toward likely points of interest. Plan for the Type-C power cable to remain connected.
- Choose a connection. Use a supported 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, or the Ethernet port if a wired connection better suits the location.
- Select the Wi-Fi band during setup. EZVIZ states that the chosen Wi-Fi band cannot later be changed in settings. Follow the manual for your region for the precise app and installation steps.
- Set up detection and views. Configure the alerts and tracking behaviors you want, then check that the fixed and motorized views cover the intended areas. The available frame rate can adapt to network transmission.
How can you store recordings?
For local recording, the camera accepts a microSD card up to 512 GB. EZVIZ says the card is sold separately, so do not assume one is included in a regional retail package. CloudPlay is also listed, but availability depends on the market. The sources available here do not establish a current subscription price, retention period, or the detailed account and data-retention terms. Check the product and service information for your region before relying on cloud recording. EZVIZ’s product page lists the storage options.
What should you know about privacy?
EZVIZ says the camera uses TLS for transmission and AES-128 data encryption, and lists a sleep mode intended for privacy. These are manufacturer statements, not an independent security audit. Separately, Testberichte.de’s summary of the Stiftung Warentest result characterizes data protection as a weaker area. Neither source alone establishes that the camera is comprehensively secure or insecure. If privacy is a deciding factor, review the regional manual and applicable account and service policies, use sleep mode when appropriate, and consider whether local card storage fits your needs better than a cloud service.

Who is the H7c Dual best suited to?
The design is most compelling when you want a wide, stationary view and a second view that can turn toward activity without losing the first feed. It is less compelling if you need a battery camera, dislike app configuration, or expect the two lenses to function like separately positioned devices.

- Think carefully if: app and notification simplicity, a responsive touch call control, or independently verified privacy performance is a priority.
- When comparing alternatives: check that a competing camera really keeps a fixed view active while another lens moves; also compare viewing angles, detection and tracking, night images, storage terms, connection options, and privacy evidence.
