The 70mai 4K A900 Ultra records in front of and behind the vehicle, but it does not provide verified 360-degree coverage—and “no hardwiring” applies only to some features. 70mai lists a Low-Power Parking Mode with significant limits; accessing 4G Cloud+ 2.0 requires a separately sold hardwire kit, and some features also require a subscription.
What the A900 Ultra records—and what “360-degree” does not mean
70mai specifies 4K video (3840×2160) from both the front and rear cameras, each with a 130-degree field of view. That is dual-camera coverage of two directions, not a camera system shown to see every side of the car. The manufacturer’s specifications do not substantiate literal 360-degree visual coverage. 70mai lists dual Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors, dual-channel HDR, LVDS digital transmission and built-in GPS. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results; they do not by themselves establish how the camera performs in particular lighting or driving conditions.
Does the A900 Ultra need hardwiring?
Not for every advertised function. The Ultra page lists a Low-Power Parking Mode, but describes a restricted mode rather than continuous, full-featured parking recording. It activates automatically under specific conditions, disables all features except collision detection, and does not pre-record. The page also stated that a manual on/off control was not then available in the app or device settings and that a toggle was planned for a future OTA update. That announcement does not confirm whether a later firmware release added it.

For 4G Cloud+ 2.0 access, 70mai specifies the separately sold 4G Hardwire Kit 2 (UP12). Some advanced Cloud+ functions may also require an additional subscription; Driving Emergency Cloud Backup is explicitly listed as requiring both the UP12 and a subscription. Check current regional service availability and plan terms before relying on these functions.
Parking features differ from the older A900
The older 4K A900 is a separate model, and its parking claims should not be applied to the A900 Ultra. 70mai says the older A900’s collision detection records for 30 seconds after a bump, while its time-lapse mode records at 1 frame per second; the manufacturer says both require a hardwire kit. By contrast, the Ultra page lists its own Low-Power Parking Mode with the restrictions described above. Compare the older A900’s official specifications.

The models also differ in listed field of view: 70mai specifies 130 degrees front and rear for the Ultra and 140 degrees front and rear for the older A900. Those figures describe each camera’s stated field of view, not complete coverage around the vehicle or a measure of image quality.

Power, storage and accessories to check
- Power: The Ultra lists a Type-C power connection. Whether a particular package includes a power adapter or other accessories can vary, so confirm the contents for your region before purchase.
- Storage: 70mai lists support for 32GB–512GB microSD cards. The manufacturer page does not establish a specific card model recommendation in the information cited here; check its current compatibility guidance before choosing one.
- UP12 for cloud access: The UP12 is the hardwire kit 70mai names for 4G Cloud+ 2.0 access, and is sold separately.
- UP06 is not a confirmed UP12 substitute: 70mai describes its adjustable Type-C UP06 kit as compatible with Type-C 70mai dash cams. That general compatibility statement does not establish that UP06 enables the Ultra’s 4G Cloud+ features. Review 70mai’s UP06 accessory page.
How to decide whether the setup fits your needs
- If you want front-and-rear 4K recording while driving, the Ultra is specified for that configuration; the published figures are manufacturer claims, not independent image-quality results.
- If you want some collision detection while parked, note the Ultra’s Low-Power mode restrictions and automatic activation conditions before treating it as a replacement for full parking surveillance.
- If you want 4G Cloud+ 2.0 access or Driving Emergency Cloud Backup, account for the required UP12 kit and, for specified advanced functions, a subscription. Verify local availability and current terms.
- If your priority is seeing the car from every direction, do not interpret the dual 130-degree cameras as verified 360-degree coverage.
