It depends when you replace it. For a scheduled OneStream Live broadcast, the Help Center says the upcoming broadcast will use the replacement video while keeping the scheduled stream’s settings and timing. If the YouTube broadcast is already live, the reviewed instructions do not confirm whether replacing a file affects playback or keeps that active stream running.
What happens when you replace the video on a scheduled stream?
OneStream Live documents changing the video attached to a scheduled stream. Its Help Center says the updated scheduled stream will automatically use the new video for the upcoming broadcast, without creating a new broadcast or changing the schedule. Replace the video before the broadcast
- Open Streams and edit the scheduled item.
- Remove the currently selected video.
- Add the replacement from your device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage.
- Continue through the destination, stream-details, and broadcast-details steps, then schedule the broadcast.
The scheduled broadcast is then set to use the replacement video. OneStream Live’s prerecorded-stream instructions also describe editing scheduled playlist content and proceeding through setup before scheduling; they do not establish an in-playback file swap. What if the stream is already live?
The reviewed instructions do not say whether replacing the source file during an active broadcast interrupts playback, changes what viewers see, or leaves the existing transmission unaffected. They also do not establish whether YouTube continues, restarts, or updates the stream as a result. Do not rely on the scheduled-broadcast procedure as a guarantee of uninterrupted live playback.

If you need to replace a video after the broadcast has started, ask OneStream Live support to confirm the behavior for your specific broadcast mode and workflow before changing the source. If uninterrupted playback matters and you cannot verify the effect, avoid making the replacement mid-broadcast.
Which OneStream Live broadcast mode are you using?
OneStream Live documents separate modes, including prerecorded streams, studio livestreams, and 24/7 streaming. The scheduled-video replacement instructions address a scheduled broadcast; they do not establish the effect of replacing a file in a studio livestream or during an active 24/7 stream.
