Does LiveReacting Support a Continuous YouTube Video Playlist?

LiveReacting supports a broadcast video playlist with a loop option that starts the sequence over after its final video. Here’s how it differs from YouTube playlist playback.

Yes. LiveReacting supports a video playlist in a live project and a “Play in loop” option that restarts the sequence from its first video after the last one finishes. With looping off, playback stops at the end of the final video. This is a playlist inside a LiveReacting broadcast—not simply a YouTube playlist being replayed by a viewer.

How LiveReacting’s playlist loop works

LiveReacting’s help documentation describes a Video Playlist layer for a broadcast project. Add the layer, upload or select the videos, confirm the selection, and arrange the items in the order you want. The playlist is then available in the project sidebar for managing its sequence and presentation. LiveReacting’s help center

Turn on “Play in loop” to have the first video start again when the final video ends. If the option is off, the playlist stops after the last item. You can also customize the playlist display, including whether to show a video name and progress bar.

For a single pass rather than continuous looping, LiveReacting’s guide says to set the stream duration to the combined duration of the playlist videos. That lets the scheduled stream end when the sequence has finished once.

Three different things that can mean “YouTube playlist loop”

  • LiveReacting broadcast playlist: Video items play in sequence as part of a live project; its loop option repeats the sequence. This is the feature that supports continuous playlist playback in a live broadcast.
  • YouTube viewer playlist: YouTube Help explains how to loop a playlist while watching it. That repeats playback in a viewer’s player; it does not, by itself, create a YouTube live broadcast. YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube
  • YouTube playlist for the replay: LiveReacting’s stream settings can add the completed live replay to one or more YouTube playlists after the broadcast ends. This organizes the replay on the channel; it is not the sequence playing during the live stream.

Set up a continuous playlist in LiveReacting

  1. Create the broadcast playlist. In your LiveReacting project, add a Video Playlist layer. Upload videos or select files, then confirm which videos to include.
  2. Arrange and check the items. Put the videos in the intended order in the project sidebar. Edit names or sort and manage items as needed.
  3. Choose whether to repeat. Enable “Play in loop” for playback that returns to the first item after the last. Leave it off if the sequence should stop at its end.
  4. Set the presentation. Choose whether the playlist shows video names or a progress bar if those details matter to viewers.
  5. Connect the channel and configure the live. Set up the streaming channel and stream details in the live settings. If you want the finished replay placed into YouTube channel playlists, use the settings’ “Playlists” field; that setting applies after the stream ends.
  6. Set the duration or schedule. For one pass, set the stream duration to the combined video duration. For supported multi-date or repeat schedules, LiveReacting documents a “Keep stream progress” option for retaining playlist position across scheduled lives. Its scheduling guide says this option is not available for one-time streams.

Can you import videos from an existing YouTube channel or playlist?

LiveReacting also describes an import workflow in which you provide a YouTube channel or playlist URL, import videos, and place them in a LiveReacting playlist. The vendor’s guide establishes that this workflow is offered, but does not specify every restriction that might apply to particular accounts, videos, rights, or imports. Check the current product interface and applicable rights before relying on a specific source playlist. LiveReacting guide to creating a 24/7 YouTube live stream

What to check before relying on continuous playback

  • Confirm that the broadcast playlist contains the intended videos in the correct order and that “Play in loop” is enabled.
  • Decide whether the stream should run continuously, stop after one pass, or resume across supported scheduled sessions; these use different duration and scheduling choices.
  • Use video content you have the rights to stream on YouTube. A playlist setting does not grant permission to rebroadcast music, footage, or other copyrighted material.
  • Do not treat cloud operation described by the vendor as an uptime guarantee. LiveReacting’s guides describe the workflow, but do not establish guaranteed uninterrupted service or compatibility with every YouTube account.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is an always-on YouTube stream made from uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It keeps the stream running without leaving a computer or home connection on. Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo also automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Start a free StreamNeo day.
