Yes, on eligible Gyre plans. Gyre’s surfaced plan information lists one 4K stream on Start+ and up to two on PRO+; Gyre’s 2026 guide also says PRO+ supports up to two continuous 4K streams. But Gyre’s available video-preparation guide specifies HD and Full HD settings only, so it does not confirm the exact file settings for 4K. Verify Gyre’s current plan and 4K upload requirements before preparing a large playlist.
Which Gyre plans list 4K streaming?
Gyre’s surfaced plan information identifies Start+ and PRO+ as tiers with 4K capability. Its official plan listing gives stream allowances; a Gyre guide published in 2026 states that PRO+ supports up to eight simultaneous continuous Full HD 60 fps streams or up to two in 4K. These are Gyre’s published plan claims, not independent verification, and plan details can change.

| Gyre plan | Published 4K allowance | Other stated stream allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Start+ | One 4K stream, according to Gyre’s plan listing | Full HD allowance not stated in the cited plan material |
| PRO+ | Up to two simultaneous continuous 4K streams, according to Gyre’s 2026 guide | Up to eight simultaneous continuous Full HD 60 fps streams, according to the same guide |
Check Gyre’s plan listing and official homepage for the current feature table, supported destinations and account terms. The cited plan material does not fully establish destination-specific 4K restrictions or current storage limits.
What does Gyre’s 4K support mean for your video file?
Gyre’s workflow uses prerecorded video files uploaded to Gyre storage, which its help center says applies whether a file is new, previously published on your channel, or selected from a playlist. The help article’s preparation guidance covers HD and Full HD—not 4K—so its settings should not be treated as a 4K recipe.

Settings Gyre documents for HD and Full HD
Gyre’s help article, marked updated about a year before 2026, gives these settings for its HD/Full HD preparation section: 1920×1080 or 1280×720 resolution, H.264 video, video bitrate of 3072–6144 kbps, audio bitrate of 128 kbps and 30 fps. Those figures do not establish a 4K input-file specification.
YouTube’s separate 4K encoder recommendations
YouTube’s live encoder guidance recommends H.264 at 30 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 30 fps and 35 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 60 fps. These are recommendations for live-stream ingestion to YouTube, not confirmed requirements for files uploaded to Gyre. YouTube also transcodes live streams into formats for viewers; that does not establish how Gyre handles every file or whether it preserves 4K in every plan. See YouTube’s encoder settings guidance.

How to prepare a 4K stream without guessing
- Confirm the plan and destination. Review Gyre’s current plan features and verify that the plan covers the number of simultaneous 4K streams and the YouTube destination you need.
- Ask Gyre for its current 4K file specification. Confirm accepted resolution, codec, frame rate, video and audio bitrates, and any upload or conversion limits. The available Gyre preparation article does not provide these 4K details.
- Encode to the confirmed file requirements. Do not simply apply the HD/Full HD settings from the help article to a 4K file. YouTube’s 4K bitrate recommendations are useful context for YouTube ingestion, but they are not a substitute for Gyre’s upload guidance.
- Upload and check a short sample first. Confirm that Gyre accepts the file and that the resulting YouTube broadcast appears at the intended resolution and frame rate before uploading a full playlist or relying on an extended stream.
Gyre’s help article names Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro as options for optimizing video files; it does not say that any one of them is required. See Gyre’s video-preparation help article and its 2026 guide to streaming prerecorded video.
