Yes. Apple Podcasts can sync followed shows, channel subscriptions, stations, and your current play position across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. To pick up where you left off, sign in to the same Apple Account on each device and turn on Sync Library.
What syncs between Apple devices?
Apple lists four kinds of Podcasts information that sync across Mac, iPhone, and iPad: shows you follow, channel subscriptions, stations, and the current play position. That position is what lets you resume an episode where you stopped on another device. Apple’s sync guide does not promise that every Podcasts setting or all downloaded episodes sync.

Turn on Sync Library
Use the settings path for each device. The iPhone and iPad path differs depending on whether the device runs iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, or version 17 or earlier.

Make sure all devices are signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple’s sync instructions specify both the shared account and Sync Library as requirements.
Following a show is different from paying for a subscription
In Podcasts, following a show and subscribing to paid premium content are separate actions. Unfollowing a show does not cancel a paid Apple Podcasts subscription. For subscription management, refer to Apple’s Get and manage your Apple Podcasts Subscriptions guidance.

If shows or playback position do not match
- Check that each device uses the same Apple Account.
- Confirm that Sync Library is enabled on each device using the path for its platform and OS version above.
- Check the specific item: Apple names followed shows, channel subscriptions, stations, and current play position as syncing. Its guide does not establish that downloaded episodes or every app setting sync.
