DocRaptor’s public plans are priced by monthly document quota—not by a named credit balance. Paid plans charge for each document above the included quota; Free has no overage allowance. Test-mode documents do not count toward the quota. The current prices and limits below were listed by DocRaptor when checked on October 3, 2026, and may change.
What DocRaptor charges for
DocRaptor measures plan usage in documents per billing cycle. Its public pricing does not describe a pool of page credits or file-size credits, so do not treat one document as a fixed number of pages or equate the quota with a credit balance. The quota is only one limit: generation time, simultaneous requests and hosted-output size also have documented limits.

What happens when you exceed the document quota?
DocRaptor says quotas apply per billing cycle. For paid plans, documents above the quota are billed individually at the tier’s overage rate. Its current help documentation lists these rates:
| Plan named in overage documentation | Charge per additional document |
|---|---|
| Basic | 12¢ |
| Professional | 9¢ |
| Premium | 6¢ |
| Max | 3¢ |
| Bronze | 2.66¢ |
| Silver | 2.5¢ |
| Gold | 2.25¢ |
These per-document rates are from DocRaptor’s overage help page, checked in 2026. Gold appears in that help page’s rate list but not in the signup/pricing plans shown above; the listed rate alone does not establish that Gold is currently available or indicate its monthly price.
Free and Heroku accounts stop at the quota
Free has no overage allowance. DocRaptor also says Heroku accounts stop generating documents when they reach the monthly quota, because of billing limitations. Do not assume the paid-plan overage behavior applies to a Heroku account.
Exceeding a quota does not automatically upgrade the account
DocRaptor says it does not automatically upgrade an account when usage passes its limit, and that it sends multiple emails as an account approaches and reaches the quota. As DocRaptor puts it: “We don’t think it’s right to change your monthly commitment without your knowledge, even if your usage right now might justify it.”

Estimate the cost using your expected volume
For a paid plan that permits overages, estimate the monthly bill as the plan fee plus the number of production documents above the quota multiplied by that plan’s per-document overage rate. For example, a Basic account generating 135 production documents in a billing cycle would have 10 documents above its 125-document quota; at the listed 12¢ overage rate, that is $1.20 in overage charges in addition to the $15 monthly plan price. This illustration uses DocRaptor’s rates checked in 2026; it does not account for taxes or other services.
Compare plans using the base fee, included quota, likely excess volume and applicable overage rules—not the overage rate alone. An account on Heroku must also account for the fact that generation stops at its quota.
Test documents do not use the production quota
DocRaptor says all plans allow unlimited test documents. Set the API’s test parameter to true to keep a test document from counting against the plan limit. That makes test mode useful for development and checking output, but it is not extra production capacity. The Free plan’s five-document monthly allowance remains its production quota. See DocRaptor’s test-document documentation for the parameter details.
Hosted documents have separate charges
Hosting a generated document is an optional feature, with charges separate from document generation. DocRaptor’s hosted-document pricing page, checked in 2026, lists a hosting charge of 1¢ per document per month, metered daily, and the first five downloads free. After those five free downloads, the listed per-download prices are:

| Plan | Charge per download after first five |
|---|---|
| Free | 0¢ |
| Basic | 6¢ |
| Professional | 4.5¢ |
| Premium | 3¢ |
| Max | 1.5¢ |
| Bronze | 1.33¢ |
| Silver | 1.25¢ |
The Free plan’s pricing row lists the hosting fee and zero cents per download; the signup page says document hosting is not included with Free. Check the account’s eligibility and current terms before relying on hosted documents on that plan. Rates and the five-download allowance are from DocRaptor’s hosted-document pricing page.
Hosted URLs are public by default
DocRaptor’s API reference says hosted-document URLs are publicly accessible without authentication by default. The API allows a caller to set a download limit or expiration time, and hosted documents can also be expired manually. Since downloads beyond the free allowance can be billable, a download cap can help contain costs. Do not publish sensitive documents at a public URL unless that access model is appropriate.

Monthly quota is not the only constraint on throughput. DocRaptor’s API limits page gives these documented defaults:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
| Limit | Documented default |
|---|---|
| Synchronous generation time | 1 minute |
| Asynchronous generation time | 10 minutes |
| Simultaneous requests | 30 |
| Maximum hosted-document output | 100 MB |
The same page says there are no hard limits on page count, document complexity, input size or output size apart from the hosted-document output limit. Generation time, simultaneous requests and documents per billing period are limited. The one-minute and ten-minute figures concern API generation time, not monthly plan quotas.

Billing considerations before choosing a plan
DocRaptor’s Legal Center says paid accounts must provide a valid credit card, bills are monthly in advance and the service is described as non-refundable. Its terms say prices are subject to change on 30 days’ notice. These are the terms reviewed for this article; check the current legal terms and your account agreement for your circumstances.
When you need screenshots rather than generated PDFs
DocRaptor is a document-generation API, while ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. If the job is capturing a live web page as an image or PDF rather than generating a document from your own input, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to try first: it removes cookie banners, popups and chat widgets before capture, and only clean shots are billed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do DocRaptor credits mean pages?
No page-credit unit is specified in the public pricing reviewed here. DocRaptor lists monthly document quotas, so do not assume a document quota equals a set number of pages.
Does DocRaptor charge for test documents?
DocRaptor says test-mode documents are unlimited and do not count against the plan limit when the `test` parameter is set to true.
Does DocRaptor automatically change my plan if I exceed the limit?
DocRaptor says it does not automatically upgrade accounts when they exceed a quota. Paid plans may incur per-document overage charges, while Free and Heroku accounts stop at the quota.
