Some TECNO phones support USB OTG, but support depends on the exact model and regional version. TECNO lists OTG in the specifications for models including the POP 7 Pro, CAMON 20 Pro, POVA 7, and SPARK Go 2024; those examples do not mean every TECNO phone supports it. If your phone does, the setting may be under Settings > More connections > OTG, though the path and whether a switch appears can vary.

- Open Settings > More connections.
- Turn on OTG, if the option is shown.
The guide was updated on November 6, 2025, and describes one workflow; the menu may differ by model or HiOS version. If the route does not match your phone, search Settings for “OTG” and consult the model-specific manual or TECNO support materials.
What if the OTG option is missing?
A missing toggle alone does not confirm whether the model supports OTG. Menu behavior may vary, and a TECNO community discussion about the CAMON 40 4G included a reply suggesting OTG may activate when a device is connected. That single discussion is anecdotal, not proof of how all CAMON 40 4G units or other TECNO models behave.

- Confirm the phone’s exact model and regional version, then check its official specifications and manual.
- Search Settings for “OTG,” connect the accessory, and check again.
- If the instructions or support information remain unclear, ask TECNO or Carlcare for model-specific guidance.

How to choose an OTG adapter and device
Match the adapter’s phone-side plug to your handset’s port. TECNO’s OTG listings do not establish one connector type across all TECNO phones, so check the exact model before choosing between USB-C and micro-USB accessories. A USB-C port by itself is not confirmation of OTG support.

OTG specifications establish a connectivity feature, not universal compatibility with every peripheral. Support for a particular flash drive, keyboard, mouse, filesystem, or power-hungry USB device is not comprehensively stated in the cited specifications. Check the accessory’s compatibility details and return terms, especially if you are buying an adapter or drive for a specific task.

What to check when an OTG connection does not work
- Verify that the exact TECNO model lists OTG support and that the adapter matches the phone’s port.
- Reconnect the accessory and check the phone’s OTG setting or Settings search.
- Try the adapter and peripheral with another compatible device to help identify whether either accessory is at fault.
- If the combination still fails, contact TECNO or Carlcare with the model and software details. The available TECNO guidance does not provide a definitive diagnosis for every device, accessory, or failure.
