1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYes. Several screenshot APIs offer free access for testing, but “free” can mean a recurring monthly quota, a one-time allowance, a limited trial, or watermarked screenshots. Those offers are not interchangeable: check how usage is counted, whether failed captures count, and whether exceeding the limit stops requests or triggers charges.
The provider terms below were observed on October 3, 2026, and can change. Confirm the current offer on each provider’s official page before integrating.
Free screenshot API offers to compare
These are provider-stated offers, not a market average. Quotas may count captures differently, so compare the conditions as well as the headline number.
| Provider | Stated free access | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| ScreenshotNeo | 1,000 screenshots per month, with no card required. | Only clean shots are billed; the response identifies the page verdict and billing status. It also provides an MCP server for AI agents. See the documentation. |
| Screenshot API (screenshot-api.org) | 500 screenshots per month; no credit card required, according to its pricing page. | The provider also describes overage billing. Its documentation states a 60-requests-per-minute free-plan limit. Check the live terms to avoid unexpected charges. Pricing; documentation. |
| Screenshot API (screenshotapis.app) | 100 billable renders per month; no credit card required. | It defines billable usage as a successful uncached render; failed renders and cache hits do not count. Pricing. |
| ScreenshotAPI.com | Its site says the first 1,000 screenshots are free to start, and its FAQ says a free trial is available for 30 days. | The stated pages do not establish whether these are the same offer or separate offers; confirm conditions before relying on either. Pricing. |
| appScreenshotAPI | Three watermarked screenshots for a free account, with no card required. | Paid packs remove the watermark. Watermarked output may not work for visual QA or production previews. Pricing. |
| Screenshot API (screenshot-api.net) | Its documentation lists 500 screenshots per month and 60 requests per minute for the free plan; its terms effective September 4, 2026, describe 100 renders per month. | The provider’s own pages conflict, so neither number should be treated as definitive without checking the current pricing or account flow. Its terms describe returning failed captures to quota and a hard quota response. Documentation; Terms. |
What “free” means when you test
Recurring monthly quota
A monthly allowance is useful for repeated, low-volume evaluation, but confirm when it resets and whether the provider counts attempts, successful captures, or only billable renders. For example, screenshotapis.app explicitly excludes failed renders and cache hits from billable usage; that definition should not be assumed for other services.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
One-time credits or a trial window
A starting allowance or time-limited trial is an initial evaluation window, not necessarily ongoing free access. ScreenshotAPI.com states both that the first 1,000 screenshots are free to start and that a 30-day free trial is available; its pages do not clarify whether those descriptions refer to one offer or two.
Watermarked samples
Watermarks can make a free sample unsuitable for comparing visual fidelity, reviewing a page with colleagues, or using a screenshot in a preview. appScreenshotAPI’s stated free account includes three watermarked screenshots.

What to check before writing a test loop
- Quota and reset: Is the allowance monthly, one-time, or tied to a trial period?
- Card requirement: Does signup require payment details, and can the account incur overage charges?
- Rate limit: A monthly quota does not tell you how quickly requests can be sent. screenshot-api.org documents 60 requests per minute on its free plan alongside a 500-screenshot monthly limit.
- Billable event: Are failures and cache hits excluded, refunded, or counted? Do not infer one provider’s rules from another’s.
- Exhaustion behavior: Does the API stop with a quota error, return failed usage to the balance, or bill overages? screenshot-api.org describes overage billing; screenshot-api.net’s terms describe a hard quota response and its documentation describes failed-render quota handling.
- Watermark and capture settings: Check whether free access supports the output type and capture options your test requires.

For a direct HTTP test, ScreenshotNeo takes a URL and returns a screenshot. Its service removes cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; only clean shots are billed, while bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are not billed. An MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots, and the free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do free screenshot API quotas usually reset each month?
No single reset schedule applies to every offer. Check the provider’s current pricing terms; some offers are described as monthly quotas, while others are a starting allowance, trial, or small watermarked sample.
