Samsung’s cited TV specifications list HDR formats such as HDR10+ and HLG, but they do not list Dolby Vision. That does not, by itself, prove a universal policy covering every Samsung TV. If Dolby Vision is a must-have, check the exact model’s current specifications for your region before buying.
How to check whether a Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision
- Find the full model number and region. Features can differ by model and market, so check the specification for the precise TV you plan to buy rather than relying on the Samsung brand name or screen type.
- Read the HDR video-format section. Look for “Dolby Vision” explicitly. Samsung’s US specification for the 65-inch 2025 OLED S85F, for example, lists HDR10+ (Adaptive/Gaming) and HLG; it does not list Dolby Vision.
- Check the streaming service and title, too. A TV’s format support is only one part of playback. Confirm that the model, app, specific title, and region all support the HDR format you want.
HDR10+ is not Dolby Vision
HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are separate HDR video-format labels. A specification that lists HDR10+ does not establish Dolby Vision support, and the presence of HDR10+ should not be treated as a substitute if your requirement is specifically Dolby Vision.

Samsung has announced HDR10+ streaming availability with several services. In its October 29, 2025 announcement, Samsung said Disney+ would make over 1,000 Hulu titles available in HDR10+ within the Disney+ app on eligible Samsung Crystal UHD TVs and above from 2018 onward. That “over 1,000” figure describes the catalog at announcement time, not a guaranteed current total. Samsung’s April 2025 announcement also described Netflix HDR10+ for 2025 Neo QLED, OLED, and Lifestyle TVs. Availability depends on the TV, service, title, and region; check current app details.

Do not confuse Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos
Dolby Vision is a video format; Dolby Atmos is an audio format. A TV can list Dolby audio features separately from its HDR video formats. For example, the S85F specifications identify Dolby audio in the DTV sound-system field while listing HDR10+ and HLG separately under video. A Dolby Atmos listing therefore does not show that the TV supports Dolby Vision.

- Confirm “Dolby Vision” appears in the exact TV model’s official regional specification; do not infer it from HDR10+, OLED, or a Dolby audio label.
- Check whether the streaming service and the titles you watch offer Dolby Vision on that model in your region.
- If buying through a retailer, compare the retailer’s model number with the manufacturer’s specification so that you are checking the same product variant.
The available Samsung specifications and announcements document HDR10+ and HLG on the cited example and Samsung’s HDR10+ streaming plans. They do not provide a complete, brand-wide Dolby Vision support matrix. The practical buying test is the explicit Dolby Vision entry for the exact TV you intend to purchase.
