1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesYes—professionals use FL Studio. UK garage producer MPH told MusicRadar he started making music with it. That confirms real professional use, but it does not show how common FL Studio is across the industry: the available sources do not establish a market-share figure or prove that it is the standard choice.
What professional use of FL Studio looks like
In a MusicRadar interview, UK garage producer MPH said, “I started on FL Studio with just a pair of KRK Rokit 5s, which I still use to this day.” He also said the sequencer made it easy to start creating drums as soon as a project opened. This is a specific artist’s account, not a survey of producers or studios.
Image-Line maintains an official Artists | FL Studio page identifying featured users as “Power Users.” Because the artist cards are dynamic, that page alone does not establish a particular artist’s endorsement or usage history.
Is FL Studio considered professional?
Professional status is better judged by whether a DAW can support the work and handoffs a project requires than by a label. MusicRadar’s 2026 qualitative assessment highlights FL Studio’s beatmaking workflow and step sequencer, and describes it as particularly associated with hip-hop and EDM. That is editorial assessment, not measured adoption.

Image-Line says FL Studio is used across hip-hop, pop, electronic music, orchestral writing, film scores, and game soundtracks. That is the manufacturer’s description of its reach, not an independently measured breakdown of professional users.
Which FL Studio edition and trial fit the work?
Edition matters when choosing a DAW for a real production workflow. Image-Line says Producer Edition adds audio recording and Edison to Fruity Edition. Check the current edition comparison to confirm that the tools needed for a project are included.
Rank #2
Image-Line’s official trial information says the trial provides full features and allows audio exports without a watermark, but saved projects cannot be reopened until a license is purchased. That makes the trial useful for evaluating the workflow and exporting audio, but risky as the only place to keep an unfinished project.
Will FL Studio work with a studio or collaborators?
Image-Line says one license works on Windows and macOS, and lists plug-in support and audio export formats. Compatibility features do not guarantee that a collaborator or studio can open or continue an FL Studio project. Before committing to a shared project, agree on the required handoff: a native session, stems, MIDI, or finished audio files.
