Choose Disney+ Premium if downloads or fewer interruptions during on-demand Disney+ shows and movies matter most; choose the ad-supported plan if you want Disney+ on its own at the lower price and can watch online. Bundles add Hulu, ESPN or HBO Max, but each service may have its own ad rules and app. Disney’s U.S. plan prices changed for new subscriptions on September 23, 2026; some existing subscribers may see a change on or after October 21. Check Disney’s current plan display before subscribing, because the indexed page contains conflicting price blocks.
Disney+ plan options at a glance
For U.S. subscribers, the choice is not simply between a cheap plan and a more expensive ad-free plan. You are choosing an ad experience, whether you can save eligible Disney+ titles for offline viewing, and—in a bundle—which other services are included. Disney+ lists a standalone ad-supported plan and Disney+ Premium, alongside bundles pairing Disney+ with Hulu, ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited, and HBO Max. Bundle combinations and terms can change, so use the current Disney plan display to confirm the exact tier before paying.

| Option | Ad experience | Disney+ downloads | Other services | May suit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disney+ with Ads | Ads run during most on-demand Disney+ movies and shows; live or linear programming may also carry ads. | Not eligible for Disney+ downloads. | Disney+ only. | People who want a standalone subscription at the lower price and do not need offline viewing. |
| Disney+ Premium | On-demand Disney+ titles generally play without commercial interruptions. Selected live or linear programming, promotions and sponsored material may still include advertising. | Eligible on supported mobile devices. | Disney+ only. | People who value offline viewing or fewer interruptions during on-demand titles. |
| Disney+ and Hulu | Depends on the selected bundle tier and service; verify each service’s ad level. | Premium bundle eligibility applies where the selected plan qualifies; confirm current terms. | Hulu is a separate service. Only select Hulu content appears in Disney+. | People who want both services and have compared the bundle total with separate subscriptions. |
| Disney+, Hulu and ESPN | Varies by plan and service. ESPN remains ad-supported in the listed bundle configurations. | Premium bundle eligibility applies to eligible Disney+ content; confirm the selected plan. | Includes ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited, depending on the bundle. | People who want sports as well as Disney+ and Hulu. |
| Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max | Varies by bundle tier; an ad-free Disney+ tier does not establish an ad-free experience across every service. | Confirm the selected bundle’s current Disney+ download eligibility. | HBO Max is a separate service. | People comparing a multi-service entertainment bundle with their actual viewing needs. |

How much do Disney+ plans cost?
Disney’s U.S. plan page states that prices for new subscriptions apply from September 23, 2026. Existing subscribers who signed up earlier may see a price change in a billing period on or after October 21, 2026. Those dates matter: a price on a new-signup screen may not match what an existing subscriber sees immediately, and a billing partner may show a different amount from Disney’s own displayed price.

Disney’s indexed U.S. page contains repeated blocks with inconsistent values, so a copied figure without a clear plan, price date and billing period can mislead. The official U.S. site has also separately displayed Disney+ Premium at $21.49 per month, but that figure should not be treated as a reliable current comparison without checking the live plan table. Confirm the price displayed for your selected plan immediately before checkout, and review the billing period and renewal amount. The available information does not establish a dependable current price for every plan and bundle, so this guide does not present a full price table.
Compare the total, not a bundle headline
A bundle is useful only if its services and ad tiers match what you intend to watch. Compare its total monthly or annual amount—whichever billing options are actually displayed—with the cost of the services you would otherwise keep separately. A bundle with more apps is not automatically a better value if you will not use one of them, or if the version you want removes ads from only some services.

- Check which services the specific tier includes: Hulu, ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited, and HBO Max are not interchangeable inclusions.
- Check the ad level for each included service independently. Do not infer that selecting Disney+ Premium removes ads from ESPN, Hulu or HBO Max.
- Check whether you are comparing the same billing period and whether the amount renews at that rate.
- If you subscribe through another company, compare its displayed charge with Disney’s direct price and confirm which company manages billing and plan changes.
What is the difference between Disney+ and Disney+ Premium?
The main practical differences in the supplied U.S. plan descriptions are advertising on on-demand titles and eligibility for downloads. Disney+ with Ads carries ads during most Disney+ movies and shows and does not qualify for Disney+ downloads. Premium generally removes commercial interruptions from on-demand Disney+ movies and shows and is eligible for downloads on supported mobile devices.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →“Premium” should not be read as a promise that every moment of every program is ad-free. Selected live and linear content may still contain ads, and promotional or sponsored material may appear. Nor does the label alone say anything about the ad experience of an added service in a bundle: the bundle’s specific tier and service terms determine that.
Does Disney+ Premium have ads?
Usually not as commercial interruptions in on-demand Disney+ movies and shows, but there are exceptions. Selected live and linear programming can carry ads, and sponsored or promotional content can appear. If avoiding every form of advertising is essential, treat “Premium” as a reduction in interruptions for the on-demand Disney+ catalog, not an absolute guarantee covering all programming and promotional material.
Can you download movies and shows on Disney+?
Disney+ downloads are for eligible plans and supported mobile devices. Disney says downloads are not currently supported on TVs, computers, or Windows 10 and 11 tablets. The ad-supported standalone plan is not eligible; Premium is, and some eligible bundles can qualify. Because bundle eligibility can depend on the exact plan, check the current plan rules rather than assuming that any subscription containing Disney+ includes downloads.

Downloads are useful when you expect to watch where an internet connection is unavailable or unreliable. They are not a way to put a Disney+ title on a television or computer for offline playback: the supported-device rule is specifically limited to mobile devices. Disney’s help page describes the feature as downloading content to a supported mobile device for watching without an internet connection. Check the Disney+ app and plan details for current device and title availability; not every possible device or bundle is established by the broad plan description.

- Confirm that the plan is Premium or a bundle currently listed as eligible for Disney+ downloads.
- Confirm that your device is a supported mobile device. A TV, computer, or Windows 10 or 11 tablet is not supported for downloads under Disney’s current help guidance.
- Check the title in the Disney+ app and follow the app’s download controls. Do not assume every title is available to download.
- If you are choosing a bundle, verify its current download eligibility as part of the specific tier rather than relying on the words “Disney+ included.”
How Disney+, Hulu, ESPN and HBO Max bundles work
A bundle combines subscriptions or access to multiple services; it does not necessarily combine their entire catalogs into one app. In the listed offerings, Hulu and HBO Max are separate services, and ESPN is a separately named service or tier. Expect to use the relevant apps for the services included in your plan, subject to the account setup and access instructions shown after subscribing.

Does a Disney+ and Hulu bundle include all Hulu content in Disney+?
No. Select Hulu content can appear inside Disney+ for eligible subscribers, but additional Hulu content is available only in the Hulu app. Hulu viewing inside Disney+ is limited to two devices simultaneously, and other app and device restrictions apply. A Hulu bundle therefore does not make the Disney+ app a complete replacement for Hulu. If a particular Hulu program is the reason you are subscribing, check its availability in the Hulu app rather than assuming it will be accessible from Disney+.
The two-device limit applies to Hulu content streamed inside Disney+. It should not be generalized into a statement about every stream on every service in the bundle. Likewise, the existence of a Disney+ app entry for some Hulu titles does not establish that the full Hulu catalog has moved into Disney+.

Which Disney+ bundle is best?
There is no universally best bundle; the right one depends on which services you will actually use and which versions you need. Use this decision sequence:
- Start with the services. If Disney+ alone meets your needs, compare the two standalone plans. If you want Hulu, sports, or HBO Max as well, identify the exact combination that includes it.
- Choose the sports tier by the named inclusion. ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited are different bundle options. Confirm which appears in the offer you are considering; do not treat “ESPN” as enough detail to identify the tier.
- Decide where ads matter. Compare the ad experience of each individual service. The Disney+ Premium label does not make the bundle’s other services ad-free, and ESPN remains ad-supported in the listed configurations.
- Decide whether downloads matter. If offline viewing is important, verify that the specific Disney+ plan qualifies and that you will watch on a supported mobile device.
- Compare the actual bill. Check the current total, billing period, renewal amount and billing provider. Compare against only the separate subscriptions you would otherwise maintain.
- Check how you will access content. Select Hulu titles can be watched within Disney+, but additional Hulu content requires Hulu’s app. Other bundled services may also be accessed separately.
This framework is more reliable than choosing by the number of logos or a bundle headline. A plan can include a service without giving it the ad tier, app behavior, catalog access or offline feature you expected.

Because prices and bundles are volatile, treat the checkout screen as the final source for your account’s offer. Before confirming, verify the plan name and the features attached to that exact tier. This is especially important during the 2026 price transition: new-subscription prices took effect September 23, while some existing subscribers may see their changed price on or after October 21.
- Plan and market: Confirm that you are viewing the U.S. offer. Availability and pricing differ by market.
- Price and timing: Record the amount, whether it is monthly or annual, and when it renews. Existing subscribers may have a different timing than new signups.
- Billing source: Identify whether Disney or a third-party billing partner will charge you. Partner pricing may differ from Disney’s displayed price.
- Service list: Confirm every included service and, for sports, whether the plan says ESPN Select or ESPN Unlimited.
- Ads: Check each service’s ad tier separately, including the possibility of ads in selected live or linear programming and sponsored material.
- Downloads: Verify current eligibility for the exact plan and remember the mobile-device limitation.
- App access: Confirm whether you will need a separate app to reach the full catalog of an included service.
If the price or feature terms shown at checkout differ from a remembered offer, rely on the current account-specific display and the billing terms presented before purchase. Do not assume that a price shown to a new subscriber, in a search result, or through one billing partner applies to every existing account.
