Disable a startup program in CCleaner

Open CCleaner and select Tools > Start up. The current product policy calls this feature Startup Manager; labels and navigation can differ by version, so look for the startup-management tool if the path is not an exact match. CCleaner describes Startup Manager as a way to manage items that run when Windows starts (Products Policy).

Review the listed programs and choose only an entry you recognize and do not want launching automatically. Disable that entry using the control shown in your version of CCleaner.

Keep security software and drivers enabled unless you have confirmed it is safe to change them. CCleaner warns that some startup entries are necessary, including antivirus and driver programs (Why your PC is so slow… and how you can speed it up).

Restart Windows or sign out and back in, then check whether the program still launches automatically.
What if you cannot find Startup Manager?
CCleaner’s documented route is Tools > Start up, but its interface may vary between releases. Look for a tool named Startup Manager or a startup section under Tools. If your installed version does not show it, Windows Task Manager provides a built-in alternative.

Can Health Check disable startup programs?
CCleaner’s Health Check includes a Speed category that can identify programs that could be prevented from starting with Windows. CCleaner Support says Speed is available with CCleaner Professional (What is Health Check?). Health Check is more guided and less customizable than the dedicated startup-management tool; use Startup Manager when you want to review and control individual entries. The available support material does not establish identical features across every CCleaner edition.
Use Windows Task Manager instead
You do not need CCleaner to manage startup programs. CCleaner’s Windows guidance also describes disabling an entry through Task Manager’s Startup tab. Open Task Manager, select the Startup tab, choose the program, and use its disable control. If the tab is not visible in an older Task Manager layout, select More details first. CCleaner also describes opening Task Manager through Ctrl + Alt + Delete (Why your PC is so slow… and how you can speed it up).

Disabling an entry prevents it from launching automatically; it does not necessarily uninstall the program. The cited guidance does not quantify a guaranteed boot-time improvement, so the result depends on which programs you change and how your PC is configured.
