Dimensity 7300 Plus vs Dimensity 7300X: Specifications and Benchmarks Compared

MediaTek identifies the Dimensity 7300X as a dual-display foldable platform, but does not officially name a 7300 Plus. Here’s what the specs and separate benchmark listings do—and don’t—show.

Short answer: MediaTek officially names the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X; its announcement does not identify a “Dimensity 7300 Plus.” Treat 7300 Plus as a third-party database label, not a confirmed official chip name. The documented distinction is that MediaTek designed the 7300X for flip-style foldables with dual displays. Available benchmark figures are from different sources and devices, so they do not establish a winner.

Are the Dimensity 7300 Plus and 7300X officially comparable chips?

Not on the evidence of MediaTek’s official naming. In its May 30, 2024 announcement, MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 7300 and Dimensity 7300X. It describes the 7300X as intended for flip-style foldable phones and dual-display designs, but does not name a Dimensity 7300 Plus. MediaTek’s announcement is the clearest basis for the official distinction.

Third-party specification and benchmark listings do use “Dimensity 7300 Plus.” Without confirmation from MediaTek or a phone maker clarifying that label, a direct Plus-versus-X comparison risks treating a database name as an official product variant. The better-supported comparison is between the officially named 7300 and 7300X, with the 7300 Plus label discussed cautiously.

Dimensity 7300 Plus vs 7300X specifications

MediaTek lists the following platform capabilities for the 7300X. They describe what the platform can support, not features guaranteed in every phone built around it.

What is the documented difference between the 7300 and 7300X?

MediaTek gives the 7300 and 7300X the same announced CPU layout: four Cortex-A78 cores running up to 2.5GHz alongside four Cortex-A55 cores. Its stated reason for the X designation is the 7300X’s suitability for flip-style foldable phones, including dual-display support. The announcement does not establish that the X is a faster general-purpose chip, nor does it publish a direct performance comparison against a “7300 Plus.”

Motorola provides a concrete device example: its Razr 50 specifications identify the processor as Dimensity 7300X. That confirms the chip’s use in a named foldable model; it does not show that all phones using a similarly labeled chip have equivalent screens, cameras, cooling, or performance.

91mobiles Dimensity 7300 Plus listing, accessed 2026; figures described as based on real-world device testing Geekbench: 1,020 single-core and 2,874 multi-core. AnTuTu: 728,221, described as the highest recorded by a device using the listed chip. A separate AnTuTu key-spec line on the same page shows 741,197. The cited passage does not specify the Geekbench version. The page’s two AnTuTu values are distinct displayed figures and should not be collapsed into one definitive score.
Geekbench Browser upload for Motorola Razr 50, dated May 28, 2026 Geekbench 6.7.1: 1,044 single-core and 2,844 multi-core This is one uploaded handset result, not a matched comparison with the 91mobiles listing.

Geekbench confirms the uploaded result’s device and processor identifier, and Motorola independently specifies the Razr 50 as a Dimensity 7300X phone. But scores from different devices, software conditions, and benchmark versions are not interchangeable measures of chip performance. The figures do not support declaring either label the benchmark winner.

Which should you choose when buying a phone?

Choose based on the complete phone, not an uncertain “7300 Plus” versus “7300X” label. The X designation is relevant if you are comparing flip-style foldables, but the experience also depends on the maker’s display implementation and other handset components.

  • Verify the processor name on the phone maker’s own specification page; treat “7300 Plus” as unconfirmed unless the manufacturer clarifies what it means.
  • Compare the actual display setup, including whether the phone implements inner and outer displays as you need.
  • Check camera hardware, memory and storage configuration, cooling, software support, and current price for the specific models.
  • Use benchmark scores only when the devices, benchmark version, software, and test conditions are comparable.

MediaTek also made promotional comparisons in its 2024 announcement, including claims of 20% faster FPS and 20% improved energy efficiency versus competitor alternatives, plus 13–30% greater 5G power efficiency in common sub-6GHz scenarios. These are vendor claims, not independent test findings; the cited passage does not identify a specific competitor model.
