The Dimensity 6020 is the stronger choice if you need a chipset platform with 5G: MediaTek lists 5G support, while Qualcomm specifies the Snapdragon 665 with an LTE modem. The Dimensity 6020 also has a newer-style CPU layout on paper, and a database comparison reports a higher Geekbench 6 single-core score. Those figures describe chip platforms, not guaranteed results for every phone built around them.
Dimensity 6020 vs Snapdragon 665 specifications
Vendor specifications show where the platforms differ, but they do not establish how quickly a particular handset will respond or how well it will sustain demanding workloads.

| Specification | MediaTek Dimensity 6020 | Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 |
|---|---|---|
| Connectivity | 5G, including carrier aggregation, according to MediaTek’s specification page | X12 LTE modem, according to Qualcomm’s specification page |
| CPU | 2 Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.2 GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2 GHz | Kryo 260 CPU up to 2 GHz |
| Graphics | Arm Mali-G57 MC2 | Adreno 610 |
| Memory and storage | LPDDR4x memory; two-lane UFS 2.2 support | Equivalent storage configuration not stated on the cited vendor page |
Connectivity: 5G or LTE
The clearest practical distinction is network generation. MediaTek lists 5G capability for the Dimensity 6020, including carrier aggregation; Qualcomm lists the Snapdragon 665 with an X12 LTE modem. This is a platform-level comparison, not a guarantee that every phone supports every network feature. Check the exact handset’s supported bands and the carrier requirements for your region before buying.

The Dimensity 6020 combines two Cortex-A76 cores, rated up to 2.2 GHz, with six Cortex-A55 cores, rated up to 2 GHz. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 listing identifies a Kryo 260 CPU with a maximum listed clock of 2 GHz. Because the vendors describe the CPU designs differently, clock speed alone is not a reliable way to calculate which phone will feel faster.

The listed GPUs are Mali-G57 MC2 for the Dimensity 6020 and Adreno 610 for the Snapdragon 665. Their names establish which graphics hardware is specified, but do not show a universal frame rate for games. A handset’s configuration, cooling, software and the specific game all affect what it can sustain.
Geekbench results: Dimensity 6020 leads in the cited comparison
CPU-Monkey’s comparison, last updated June 5, 2026, reports Geekbench 6 single-core scores of 711 for the Dimensity 6020 and 334 for the Snapdragon 665. These are database-reported results, not measurements from a controlled test of two otherwise-matched phones. Scores can vary with handset, configuration, benchmark version and the samples represented in a database. See the CPU-Monkey comparison for its entries.

Other databases report different Dimensity 6020 results. NanoReview lists Geekbench 6 scores of 724 single-core and 2,032 multi-core for that chipset, and displays user-submitted AnTuTu 12 entries dated September 22 and October 2, 2026. These figures should not be combined with CPU-Monkey’s scores as if they came from the same test set; the AnTuTu entries are user submissions, not controlled comparative measurements. See NanoReview’s Dimensity 6020 page.
Which chipset should you choose?
Choose a Dimensity 6020 phone if 5G matters
Its vendor-listed 5G capability makes this the relevant platform to consider when you want a 5G handset. Confirm the model’s actual regional bands and carrier compatibility rather than relying on the chipset name alone.

Compare Snapdragon 665 phones by their handset features
The Snapdragon 665 is specified with LTE rather than 5G. If considering a phone built around it, judge the complete device on factors such as price, software support, available memory and storage, battery behavior and network compatibility; chipset specifications do not settle those details.
Do not choose on benchmark score alone
The cited Geekbench comparison favors the Dimensity 6020, but it is not a matched-phone experiment and does not prove a particular device will be faster in every app or game. For a phone-to-phone decision, compare the exact models and independent reviews that test those devices under comparable conditions.
