MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 page is hosted under its Chinese-language tablets section, but describes the chip as a high-end 5G smartphone platform: MediaTek Dimensity 1300. Its official Helio G91 page lists the CPU types and platform features. NanoReview provides more explicit Dimensity GPU, memory, and storage details, as well as the Helio G91 core arrangement and process figure: Dimensity 1300 specifications and Helio G91 specifications.
How their CPU and graphics differ
CPU: Dimensity 1300 has newer performance cores
The Dimensity 1300 combines four Cortex-A78 cores with four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The Helio G91 uses two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The A78 generation and the Dimensity’s higher listed clock speeds point to greater CPU capability, especially for heavier workloads. Actual responsiveness still depends on the phone’s cooling, memory, firmware, and software.

GPU: the Dimensity has the stronger configuration on paper
MediaTek specifies a nine-core Arm Mali GPU for the Dimensity 1300, while the Helio G91 uses Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. NanoReview identifies the Dimensity GPU as Mali-G77 MP9. This is a significant difference in graphics hardware, but gaming performance in a particular phone also depends on sustained cooling, game settings, and device implementation.
Process and memory/storage can affect the whole phone
The Dimensity 1300’s listed 6 nm process is smaller than the Helio G91’s 12 nm process. The storage configurations listed also differ: UFS 3.1 for the Dimensity 1300 and eMMC 5.1 for the Helio G91. These platform specifications do not guarantee that every Dimensity-equipped phone will feel faster than every Helio-equipped phone; the handset’s actual memory and storage configuration matters.

| Benchmark (version) | Dimensity 1300 | Helio G91 | What the figures show |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 aggregate | 954,090 | 354,158 | The displayed Dimensity score is about 2.7 times the Helio score, calculated from these listed values; this is not a controlled-test performance ratio. |
| Geekbench 6 single-core aggregate | 1,114 | 405 | The displayed aggregate favors the Dimensity 1300. |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core aggregate | 3,281 | 1,407 | The displayed aggregate favors the Dimensity 1300. |
The sample counts make the Geekbench figures particularly uneven: NanoReview lists nine samples for the Dimensity 1300 and fewer than three for the Helio G91. The Helio aggregate is therefore especially uncertain. The pages also include submitted AnTuTu 11 results that vary across phones and submissions, which is another reason not to treat one aggregate as a guaranteed score for a handset.
For a fair comparison, use results from the same benchmark version and consider the specific phone, its cooling, and test conditions. AnTuTu or Geekbench scores from different versions should not be combined as if they were directly comparable.

Choose a Dimensity 1300 phone when performance or 5G matters
Among these two chipsets, the Dimensity 1300 is the stronger choice for CPU and graphics capability on paper, and it supports 5G. That makes it the more suitable platform when demanding apps, gaming capability, or 5G connectivity are priorities. A chipset comparison alone cannot establish whether a specific phone is a good purchase.

Consider a Helio G91 phone for basic 4G use
The Helio G91 is a 4G platform with older CPU cores and a less capable listed GPU. It may still suit basic everyday use, but shoppers should check the complete phone’s memory, storage, display, software support, and price rather than assuming that the processor name determines the experience.
Examples of phones using these chips
NanoReview lists the OnePlus Nord 2T and Oppo Reno 8 among Dimensity 1300 devices, and the Xiaomi Redmi 13 4G and Tecno Spark 30 among Helio G91 devices. These are examples, not recommendations: verify the exact regional model and configuration, current availability, and software support before comparing phones.
