Check the official rules for the exact award, category, geographic edition, and cycle before preparing an entry. Then use this checklist to confirm you can enter, build a persuasive case, and submit the required proof and permissions on time.
1. Identify the award, edition, and cycle
Start with the organizer’s current entry page—not a past-year article or a date copied from another competition. Record the details that govern your entry:

- Official award name, geographic edition, and cycle year.
- Category and its specific eligibility rules.
- Submission deadline, including time zone, plus any separate payment deadline.
- Last time you may edit an entry, and whether edits are allowed after submission.
- Required fees, attachments, and access period for submitted links or credentials.
Dates are specific to their programs and cycles. For example, the Horizon Interactive Awards lists December 11, 2026 for its 25th annual competition. The MENA Digital Awards lists October 11, 2026 at 18:00 UAE time for its form deadline and gives a separate payment deadline. The Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh listed May 10, 2026 for its 2026 competition. The Adobe Experience Maker Awards lists November 20, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time for its 2027 competition. Do not treat any of these dates as a general digital-awards deadline; confirm the current rules directly with the organizer.
2. Check eligibility and get permissions
Answer “Am I eligible to enter this digital award?” by checking the rules for your chosen category, not by relying on a general rule about how recent work must be.
#1 Best Overall
- Compare the project’s launch, publication, or campaign dates with the category’s eligible period.
- Confirm any entrant, client, geographic, or product requirements.
- Check restrictions on previous submissions, wins, or re-entry, including whether a substantially different version qualifies.
- Make sure the project fits the category definition and that you can support any required claims.
- Identify the owner of the work and obtain client or brand approval, releases, and accurate credit details before submitting materials.
The tests vary. Horizon says eligible work must have launched, been published, or been substantially updated in the prior two years, or must never have been entered before, subject to its stated exceptions. Adobe’s 2027 rules focus on new applications, capabilities, implementations, or use cases, and set product eligibility requirements. Bangladesh DMA’s 2026 rules define a campaign period, restrict re-entry unless the version is significantly different, and require a client, marketing, or brand-head NOC. These are examples, not interchangeable eligibility standards.
3. Choose the category and shape the case
Choose the category that best represents the project’s primary deliverable. Horizon advises entrants to begin with the competition medium that best represents that deliverable. If you enter the same work in multiple categories, adapt the case to each category’s criteria rather than submitting one unchanged description; MENA also advises tailoring entries across categories.
Build the narrative around the award’s actual rubric. A useful case structure is:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Challenge and audience: Explain the problem, who it affected, and the relevant context.
- Objective and strategy: State what the work set out to change and why the chosen approach made sense.
- Idea and execution: Describe the digital experience, campaign, or product and how it was delivered.
- Results: Report outcomes that connect to the objective, with dates and credible evidence.
Rubrics differ. MENA’s published criteria address strategy, creativity and innovation, execution, and results. Bangladesh DMA says the results in the story should match the supplied insight evidence. Treat these as program-specific examples, and write to the criteria listed for your own category.
4. Match every result to credible evidence
For each important claim, keep a simple evidence record: the claim, metric and date range, source or system, supporting report or screenshot, and any necessary verification or approval. Check that the figures in the narrative match the underlying evidence. MENA asks entrants to quantify or prove results from a credible source and to seek third-party verification of award winners; Bangladesh DMA likewise expects story results to align with supplied insight evidence.
What supporting evidence you need depends on the deliverable and award. The organizer may request a public URL, screenshots, a case board, supporting files, a video demonstration, or access details for a gated project. A current live page may not show work that has ended, so prepare screenshots or other permitted documentation when the rules allow it. Test links and credentials from an account that does not have your team’s special access, and keep them available for the organizer’s required period.

5. Package files to the organizer’s specifications
Follow the current rules for naming, file types, formats, word counts, slide counts, and video length. Include mandatory form fields, credits, brand materials, and any required presentation or audiovisual files. Limits differ by program:
| Program and cycle | Published packaging requirements |
|---|---|
| Digital Marketing Award Bangladesh, 2026 | Description up to 500 words; presentation template up to 18 slides; supporting images; campaign-specific case AV no longer than 2 minutes. Official rules. |
| MENA Digital Awards | Case-summary board with three representative images and a 200–300-word summary, plus references to supporting evidence. Eligibility page. |
These limits apply to the named programs, not to digital awards generally. Check whether the page specifies file size, device compatibility, live-link duration, or credentials as well.
6. Review rights, accuracy, and disclosure
Before uploading, confirm that you have permission to share every image, video, result, and client detail included in the entry. Check the organizer’s terms for intellectual property, confidentiality, and publication or exhibition rights. Bangladesh DMA calls for client approval or an NOC and accurate attribution and evidence. The Drum Awards says submitted material may be published or exhibited, so review its terms before including sensitive information.
Keep claims factual and traceable. The Drum’s FAQ states: “Do not use AI to generate false, exaggerated or fictitious results, claims, or case study content.” Do not present estimates as measured outcomes, omit material context, or attribute work to people or organizations inaccurately.
7. Run a final submission audit
Ask someone who did not prepare the entry to check it against the live rules before submission:
- Correct award, geographic edition, cycle, category, and entry title.
- Eligibility dates and previous-entry rules checked for this category.
- Names, credits, claims, metrics, and evidence consistent and accurate.
- Client approvals, NOC, releases, and publication or confidentiality choices settled.
- URLs and credentials tested; access will remain available as required.
- Files, formats, word and slide counts, and video length within the organizer’s limits.
- Required attachments included, payment deadline noted, and permitted edit window understood.
Keep a copy of the exact submitted materials and confirmation. If choosing among awards, compare geographic and entrant eligibility, eligible project dates, category fit and rubric, evidence and access requirements, deadline and fee, editability, and confidentiality and publication terms. The official award rules control whenever programs differ.
